Question about 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
My blazer wont rev up past 1700 rpms
Do you see any check engine light being on? If yes, without wasting the time, get the car scanned for error codes and let me know. I would be glad to resolve that problem for you.
If not, read further :-
ok first I would check the egr system and valve these did have a tendency to mess up more than tehy should and that would give you the symptons you are experiencing, the egr I believe has to set first (monitor)before the cat and the 02 sensors should set before the cat as well ,as far as the evap that sometimes can be a pain as it will have to set after an overnight sitting, also check all the vacuum hoses and spray a little carb cleaner near the egr and intake and see if that changes the idle and surging if it does you have found the leak, the vehicle maybe searching for a correct idle because of this(iac sensor)this may be looking for a correct idle but cant achieve it because of an egr or vacuum leak.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
