Look under the the steering wheel and where the dash meet. You'll need to look under the dash area and it should be on a white label 5 digits. This is the master code, which will always work even if you change the code. Do you have a owners manual. If not get back to me at chris-n-misty@charter.net and I will give you the instructions on how to reset the code to your choice. It's located in the manual if you have one.

If I bought my 99 ford expedition used is there a wAy to find out or reset the code for the door keypad lock

There is a way to reset it but unfortunately if you don't have the original code that won't help you as it resets itself to the factory code. Take it to a Ford dealership, they can hook up their computer and pull the code. Once you have the factory keyless entry code you can program your own into it. Our shop charges 0.5 hours labor time to do this and any other shop really shouldn't charge more than that.

2001 ford explorer sport, door keypad reset

How to find the Security Keyless Keypad Code on the 1995-2001 Ford Explorer or Mountaineer and how to use the Keypad functions. The factory code is also printed on a label which is installed on the Remote Anti-theft Personality (RAP) Module. This is the module that controls the keyless entry system. It is located in the left rear quarter behind the removable panel (see photo). You will need to turn the two thumb screws counter clockwise and take the plastic panel off to be able to see the unit. A flashlight may be helpful in seeing the code. You are looking for the module and the 5 digit code on it like the one shown below.

Now that you’ve got the code I’ll tell you how to use the Keyless entry and set-up your own code.Make sure when pressing the controls on the keyless entry keypad you press the middle of the buttons to ensure good contact with the controls.

Check this for Programing the Keypad.

Hope this help (remember rated this comment).

I bought a used car with a keyless entry and don't have the code.

keyless entry module is found in rear of vehicle either left or right side behind some trim panels, there will be the five digit code you are seeking.  If you are having difficulty, call the local dealer and ask where the vehicle had been purchased or had warranty service.  Call that dealer and ask for the code, it should be on file.  Keep me posted.

Entry code om drivers door

The keyless entry module is located in the rear of the vehicle on the driver's side. You will need to partially remove the left rear panel in the cargo area. You will then see the keyless entry module bolted behind a metal reinforcement bar. There is a sticker on the module that has the 5 digit entry code.
