Question about 2003 Oldsmobile Alero
Yesterday my car would not start it would turn over but wouldn't start. So this morning I went out and it started but right at the end of the turn over it made a noise like metal grinding. Could someone help me on what this might be?
The noise you heard is usualy caused by a defective starter motor or damaged gear teeth on the engines flywheel As far as the no start goes that could have been a a loss of fuel pressure from a sticking electric fuel pump in the gas tank, hard to say until it happens again, if it does happen again get some Starting fluid from the auto parts store when it won't start go under the hood and spray the starting fluid into the air intake hose to the engine, if it starts and dies then the electric fuel pump is defective
