Open your trunk, You should see big wing nuts or some type of nut holding the the carpet against where the light housing is. take the wings nuts off which is about 3-4 and the light assembly will pull out from the opposite side. The whole housing will come out. It's not just the lens.

Open the trunk and remove the screws from the lens. Pull back the trunk liner and remove the wingnut from the lens stud. Pull out on the lens and you can replace the bulb.

How to replace fog light bulbs in 09 impala ss.

Remove the 7mm hex head screw on fender holding headlight assembly. Remove retaining clip on grill side. Reach down, twist fog light bulb to remove, unplug connector to bulb. Reverse order to reassemble. You're done. 5 minute.

Remove the tail lamp housing and test for power at the wiring connector. Does the center high mount stop lamp operate correctly? The lamp circuit boards have seen many problems.

Open hood. on top of headlight assembly you will find 2 small bolts. I believe a 10mm. socket should fit. Take the 2 bolts, out and remove complete assembly.

could be a wire crossed from the alarm system or a faulty switch use a test light to determine power to the switch itself and although it may not be the issue check and ensure all the fuses are good ...i do think at this point its a faulty light switch

The speedometer uses a the signal from the speed sensor on the drivers side of the transmission near the tail shaft. The sensor is held in with a retaining bolt and pulls out after removing the bolt.
