Raise your Hood, Turn on your Emergency Flashers and wait in the Vehicle.
Call 911 if you have a Cell Phone and request a Motorist Assist from Law Enforcement.
If you do not have a Cell Phone, wait for someone to call for you.
Have your doors locked and your windows ONLY opened slightly to allow ventilation without allowing access from the outside.
IF someone (who is not) a Police Officer stops to assist:
STAY in your vehicle, with the doors locked, and window still up/slightly down and ask them to call the State Police for you.
If a person stops to help you and is not in their Police Unit or is in Plain Clothes - STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE until their Identity can be verified with a authentic Badged Identification.

Used the wrong gas

Open the gas fill door, remove the gas cap and smell the gas fill tube area. If it has a kerosene like smell then you may have filled it with diesel fuel. If so select your favorite garage to drain the tank and flush the fuel system to remove the diesel.
This vehicle should run on any type of gasoline so I suspect the fluid you put in was not gasoline.

My 2002 ford escape will start but won't stay running

I would check fuel pressure. Also vaccum leaks could do that.

I am not familiar with hybrids, but i think when you start, it's starting with the battery, so I think you have a bad connection, check and clean the battery terminals.

The car seems to have an obstruction in the gas line, won't take gasoline easily from the punp. Turns pump off continuosly.

Dan the reason it takes it from a gas can is there is no pressure building up in the line as you would have from a gas tank. As you fill the tanks the air inside of the tank has to go out as the tank fills up. I would suggest checking the fill hose thats connected to the gas tanks and the spout inlet where you put the hose to fill the tanks and check for kinks in the hose. Second there should be a vent hose from the tanks that connects to the spout also check it for kinks or blockage this would prevent air from escaping from the tank causing the gas pump to cut off due to the rapid filling of the tank without the air being able to escape. Hope this helps

My car has been sitting for 2 years and won't start. The engine turns over but it sounds like not getting gas. I read somewhere to spray gas starting inside air intake valve. Where is the air intake v

Safer is to use 'carburetor cleaner' which is also flammable but a little less dangerous than using gasoline. After sitting a long time, our modern gasoline gets tired; never allow something to sit so long without adding some 'fuel stabilizer.'If possible with your car, I would drain (siphon) the tired gas out and replace it with a few gallons of fresh.
Really tough starting problems can also be overcome with 'starting fluid' which is pure ether and very flammable.Any of these may require the removal of the engine air filter so the liquid gets into the intake manifold.
Stale gasoline can also gum up the fuel injectors which may have to be removed for service if none of the fluids causes the engine to fire.

The motor missed fire an acceleretion . after the truck was stop over 1 mounth.(escape 2003)

I'll bet it misfires because of the old gasoline. Since it was sitting for that long, you should remove the old gasoline from the car and put in fresh gasoline. You might want to put in a can of seafoam in the gas tank as well to clean up anything the old gasoline could have left behind.

Next time, if you're planning to have your car sit for a few weeks or more, put fuel stabilizer (such as Seafoam) into the gas tank before you leave. That way, you can safely start it when you come back.

2002 Ford Escape only gets 14 mpg, why?

There are a few possibilities for this.
1. Old air filter
2. Clogged catalytic converter
3. clogged fuel system

I would start with replacing the air filter then go from there. Your car should get about 20mpg with good gas. With it being winter you could just be getting a bad gas mix also.

Gasoline pump at gas station keeps turning off

There is a vent valve located near the fuel tank. The vent valve is part of the EVAP emission system. If the valve is obstructed or failed, air will not escape while refueling.
Has the service engine light come on at all?
