SOURCE: 96 chevy blazer rear axle bearing/seal r/r

No. Did you run some emery cloth along the race (bearing surface) to make sure it was smooth and clean? If you leave any part of the old seal or debris on the hub surface, damage the seal when installing it, not liberally packing the bearing with grease or the seal did not seat right you can have issues like yours. Make sure the seal is installed flush and if everything looked good as far as the axle and surfaces, pack more grease in the bearing. When you think there is enough grease in it, put more in. Put the grease in the palm of your hand and with the bearing held flat in the other hand repeatedly tap the bearing on your palm until grease comes out both sides. Then put more on it when you seat it.

Yes can be possible. the axle if not positioned right, it can damage the seals, other possibility is non-branded seals and axle can also cause this.--------- Other possibility can be lubrican got overflowed. A damaged sticking inboard joints. To troubleshoot , you should drive your vehicle in a full backwards circle while in reverse. The clicking sound will become louder when you do this. This is the indication that cv joint is not installed properly.------- Remove and refit the cv joints and seals again.-- If seals damaged, then replace the seals.-------- ------------ This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

not enough detail for what end the leak is at. Front sounds strange for a pickup unless 4 wheel drive and then if the style is open shaft behind the brake rotor this would require dissemble of a few more things. If from the rear, which is the common repair, this is from a worn axle bearing on the axle shaft, which causes wear to the rear axle seal either located on the shaft before the bearing to the outside. Or the second option can be a axle seal located in the end of the axle housing. when you remove the axle shaft you would be looking at the end of the housing tube and see this seal. On older models ( My younger days ) they would also install one on the inner side of the housing next to the Gear Unit in the center of housing, ( also known as the PIG Unit ).need further info....

Axle Shaft Bearing & Seal Removal & Installation To Remove:
  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the axle shaft.
  3. If replacing only the seal, remove the seal using a suitable seal removal tool.
  4. If replacing the seal and bearing on the 8.6 inch axle, install the slide hammer and adapter behind the bearing and pull out the bearing and seal together.
  5. If replacing the rear axle shaft seal and the bearing on the 9.75 inch axle, install the J 29712 or equivalent bearing puller into the axle housing behind the axle bearing.
  6. Remove the axle shaft seal and the bearing by tightening the nut on the J 29712 bearing puller.

How do the axles come out of the front diff. on a 2003 suburban 1/2 ton for seal replacement?

The axle shafts are held in with a spring type retaining ring that is on the inner end of the shaft and can be quite difficult to remove at times. I use a small slide hammer attached to the outer end of the shaft and often a quick hit with it will cause the axle shaft to pop out but I have had others where I've had to remove the differential unit and get it on the bench where I had better access to pull the shaft out. Take a close look at the bearing behind the seal that supports the shaft while you have the axle out. I have the best luck using OEM seals on these but the LH side is prone to seeping a tiny bit of oil regardless.

How do you remove the bearing seal ?

Assuming it's a 4x4, and even if not, no seal is ever used to retain a bearing. Remove the axle nut from the outboard end of the axle and remove the bearing hub. The seal is either behind it or part of it. You can get a haynes or chilton manual for good r&r instructions for about $20. at any of the larger parts stores.

How to change my front differential seal and bearing ? passenger side. I bought a new wheel bearing because of a humming sound on passenger side and doing so saw leaking seal and maybe the humming was...

That will be a Huge job. The whole front diff must come out of the car and the case will need to be taken apart to even gain acess to the carrier side bearings.
The hub bearing is where the wheel bolts up is that maybe what you are talking about?
Also the axle seal isn't that bad to do you need to remove the cv shaft then it's just a simple remove the seal and install the new one.
But all of these jobs will be big ones.
