Question about 1992 Chevrolet S-10
All differentials have an inspection plug either on the diff cover or on the extension where the pinion gear goes through. Depending on what was installed it's usually either a square protruding pipe plug or a recessed square plug that either a 1/2" or 3/8" drive will fit into (for protruding ones use a 12 point socket. Check with vehicle level, fluid should be at or within 1/'8" of the bottom of the opening.
