Where is my starter located on my 96 Lesabre and how do i get to it

You will have to disconnect the battery positive cable, jack the car up so that you can gain access from the bottom. It is located in front of the engine facing the engine, There is a plastic cover that goes around the starter that should be removed. It takes ten mm wrench or socket to remove the cover. There are two large bolts that hold the starter in place, they go through the bottom of the starter. Use a 15 mm socket to remove the bolts. There is two wires that are attached to the back of the starter. It takes a 13 mm socket or wrench to remove the large one a 8mm socket to remove the small wire. Once removed slide the starter out and rverse procedure to install.
