Don't know where you are located, but if you are in the southeastern United States, I would recommend Pull a part. I purchased a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee for $250, and have bought everything except oil and filters from them.

is the transfercase in nuetral ? check that as that is the only thing that could stop a manual trans from moving trk unless the output shaft in trans broke but that only you will know.

Back up lights not working Where is switch to turn

Switch is on the transmission. Exact location depends on whether you have automatic or manual transmission. I have pasted pictures for each case below. Just look around the transmission for these parts. OK?

Wrangler will not go into gear when the jeep is off

if transmission was good when engine is off you should be able to go through the gears. can also be stuck in between gears which you can fix by replacing worn shifter.
