Question about 1992 Honda Accord
I have a 1992 Honda Accord LX and on cold start it idles at around 1,500 rpms and only gets to about 1,000 after its been driven awhile. how can i get this to go to around 700-800? Thanks
I have worked on a honda accord with the same problem. The idle control system has hoses and pipes that supply coolant to it. The problem is that the coolant passage to the idle control system is blocked. Remove the small hose and flush it out with water pressure. If that does not unclog it you have to remove the whole idle control assembly including the hoses and pipes that channel water to it and clean them out. Once the coolant is able to circulate through it, you car will idle to normal like it was brand new again. I guarantee it.
