Question about 2004 Jeep Liberty

1 Answer

I have a 2003 jeep liberty. The dash lights, right rear tail light and right front sidelight are out when I turn on the lights. All other lights work properly, including the headlights, directionals, fog lights. all interior lights, and warning lights on the dash. Just the right rear tail light, dash lights and right front sidelight. All bulbs and sockets have been checked and are operational. Thanks for any help with this gremlin in my lighting system.

Check your fuse box located underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Take the plastic cover off and there will be a diagram on the back side of it, locate the instrument cluster fuse and running light/tail light fuse. Pull them out and replace them both with the same numbered fuse

Thank you. It was the fuse but on the 2003 liberty the fuse box is on the far left of the dash (left of steering wheel) where the drivers door meets the dash. Thanks for your help.

kEy off?
wow both park and brake failures.
sounds like one is shorted to the other
and either park and brake are stuck.
ok take the the tests
key off, parks and headlights off,
look at all lamps on car inside and out, which are one.
is the dash lights glowing (called illumation lamps) on.
and side lights off, and front park lights off, ,yes, all off then park is off,
so of rear lights glow , is it just brakes, that means the brake lamp switch is stuck on.

A pulled fuse panel for a 2003 Jeep Liberty, there are 39 fuses inside a vehicle. I need to know what these fuses are and what they go to.

The fuse box diagram is a sticker placed on the inside of the fuse box cover. This cover is located on the left end of the instrument panel (driver side). The sticker just uses numbers to indicate the fuses. I will match the fuse number with its purpose:
1. Power Outlet, Front
2. Rear Fog Lights
3. Horns
4. Headlight, Low Beam, Right
5. Headlight, Low Beam, Left
6. Body Control Module / Power Door Locks
7. Spare
8. Spare
9. Right Park Light / Right Tail Light / Trailer Tow Lights / Cluster
10. Spare
11. Flasher
12. Stop Lights
13. Body Control Module / CMTC / Cluster
14. Spare
15. PDC Fuel Pump and Auto Shut Down Relays / SKIS
16. Power Outlet Rear
17. Rear Wiper
18. Radio Choke

Neither turn signals work on jeep liberty 2006 sport

Signals are now controlled by a module on the right side of the steering column under the dash. Before doing anything yourself, bring it to the attention of the guys that did the rear...This problem can happen at any time but they may have disconnected a harness or ground while working, so give them a chance first to correct it.

Brake light and turn signal light not working

Did the new lens come with new sockets? If not damage may have occured there that you cant see. only other possibilty is wiring damage in the rear that may be hard to see. The condition you describe is simple "backfeeding" if you look hard enough youll either find bad sockets or damaged wires close to the lens that took the hit. Hope this helped. Thanks
