The 2001 Denali came with a 130 amp alternator. Many of the replacement alternaotrs are rated from 130-145 amps.

Hello, My 2001 GMC Jimmy (SLE) has a loud sqeeking noise on the front left wheel. I dont know that is causing this. what is causing this!


hi its possible that your front disc pads are low & need replacing specialy if noise changes when brakes applied

The altenator has no power


Are all the cables clean & connected firmly? If so boast the vehicle & while running & booster disconnected put an amp. meter on the neg & pos of battery. If amp. meter reads over 13.2 or higher alternater O.K. if lower Change alternater.

check the battery terminals they might need to be renewed or just not tight enough.

Sounds to me like you have a grounding problem Have you had the transmission loose lately because there is 3 ground wires on one of the bolts if it is not tight you endure the systems taqht you are speaking of. Check it before you do anything else and it wont cost you a dime. I was told the alternator went bad. I had to replace it again and it isnt the problem. Check Your Ground
