Go under the car and remove the bolt that retains the dipstick into the tranmission, pull the dipstick tube out and replace the o ring, lube it with a thin film grease before u reinstall it to avoid tearing the new o ring seal

Where the transmission dip stick

Hi on most vehicles the transmission dip stick is located at the transmission area, under the hood look for the fan belt, on most it will be on your left hand side facing the front of vehicle, then look to your right and you will see a tube from the transmission with a clip arrangement holding the dip stick in place, carefully push the clip back just enough to release the dipstick, Read your owner manual as incorrect reading or wrong oil can damage the transmission, very expensive to repair some units, if not sure go to your nearest service agent, hope this helps, P

How to replace transmission dipstick tube

most transmission dip sticks are just pushed in through an "o" ring seal and are held in place by a tag welded to the tube and bolted to the engine/ transmission housing.

I can't locate where to check the transmission fluid, there's a cap on top of the ****** that says ****** fluid but there's not dip stick

I am at a bit of a loss. Not only do I not know what Saturn you have but this site edits words that should not be edited. (I don't know what a ****** or a ****** is)

Regardless of what Saturn or those words, most the automatics I see (German cars are oddballs)have a tube where the transmission is filled and the dip stick is inside that tube. (may have a red handle) Perhaps your dip stick broke off. Can you look into the tube and see anything? The dip stick is long enough and the tube is deep in the pan where the broke dip stick should not fall all the way into the pan.

Hi: To Refill your Auto Transmission with Tranny Fluid, There is NO CAP, Look For a Dip Stick Similar to your Oil Dip Stick. You Refill your Transmission where the Transmission Dip Stick comes out of a Tube. You'll Need a Funnel that Fits inside the Transmission Dip Stick Tube. This Should Resolve your Question. Please Vote and That actually sends me How Well I have Helped You. Could you tell me where to put the transmission fluid in a 1988 honda accord dx. I can't seem too find it.

If there is a dip stick to show you the level of the fluid in the transmission, the transmission fluid is added through the dip stick tube. With the dip stick out, place a funnel in the tube opening and pour the fluid into the funnel.

How to refill oil in transmission for Dodge caravan 1995 (automatic transmission)?

You refill the transmission through the dip stick tube. Make sure you don't over fill the transmission though, that's just as bad as having low transmission fluid levels.

How to check transmission fluid and fill if nessesary.

if it is an automatic transmission, the dip stick is under the hood and should be on the drivers side of the engine, start the car leave it in park, pull the dip stick out and wipe it off with a cloth, reinstall the dip stick in the filler tube completely, and remove again and notice where the fluid level is on the dip stick,if you need to add fluid to bring it up to full, the correct fluid for your car is printed on the dip stick, you need a transmission funnel and put in in the tube you pulled the dip stick out of.
if you transmission is a standard, there is a 5/8 bolt on the side of the transmission you remove and put something like a screw driver in the hole to see where the fluid level is,.
