Your ac system is most likely low on freon, or the cooling fan is not working. When you turn on the ac the cooling fan should stay on. If it stays on then you are low on freon.
The first I would do is check if the a/c compressor is working. Start vehicle then turn a/c on in vehicle full power and then off/on a couple of times if you hear a click when turned on then compressor is working properly.If this is the case then you need freon.If not turning on,first check fuses,for location refer to owners manual,if not fuse then compressor needs to be checked which then you will need service manual purchase at local autoparts store.
u need to buy the special coolant to your car i have the same car whit the same problem and is cause to the incorrent cooland the cooland to your car is the DEX-COOL if u dont find that u need some hit (silicate-free)
It is located behind your thermostat housing. Follow your upper radiator hose to the housing and look between it and the engine. You will see the electrical connection.
