The car is designed not to spin it's wheels when taking off. If you want to make it do that you need to either change the powertrain programming or replace some powertrain parts.

When you put the car in overdrive and take off it speeds up to 45mph and starts to rev up and not go any faster. What could this be?

It sounds like the overdirve clutch is slipping or there is a lack of fluid. Check the dipstick in park with the engine running. It of course needs to be on the full mark. Cold or hot it should be near the full mark. Also look at the color and smell it. Transmission fluid actually smells pleasant. If it is dark and smells bad (burnt) you have a major problem with the transmission. Good luck

95 Summit 1.5L Mitsubishi engine miss /lack of power

Somewhere along the the line you may have a fuel blockage or a good dose of water in your fuel tank.Check the water in tank 1st.Add 1 litre of metholated spirits to every 20 litres of fuel. This will allow the water to break down and be burnt through the motor over time.Do this twice. If this does not work, there may be a glob of **** in the fuel tank that blocks the pickup. If this is the problem, the tank needs to be taken out and cleaned.I hope this is a start to get you back on the road.
