In some large cars like yours you can remove the rear seat back and open a plate that gives access to the trunk. Depending on your car if it is just a small access panel you will have to go on a fishing expedition with a magnet attached to a rod of some sort to fish them out.
With the car jacked up and placed on jack stands, remove the tires. Note the angle of the shock going up into the body of the car. This will let you know whether it is in the trunk area or in the back seat area. More than likely, its in the the trunk.
Sometimes you will find a button inside the Glovebox. This is an Electric trunklid release. Some of the models had controls on the lower drivers door along with the Gasflap release. It depends on the Series that you have. The S, and GS, had less features than the LS model.
You can go to a Locksmith and they have a box of keys and will try them until one opens your trunk. Then you can have a key made to match your lock.

Most of the rear window speakers mount from the underside in the trunk. Check there to see if you can unhook and remove the speakers from the trunk side before tearing up the interior covering.
I had a the problem and I replaced the inertia switch which is located in the trunk. This is the switch that will flip if your car gets hit in the rear end and it cuts off the fuel flow to the motor to prevent an explosion.
