The blinking ecl might mean a misfiring plug or bad coil (look for engine shake) ... the triangle with a circle means "worry about this" ... you can take your car to many auto parts stores .. they will check your computer (usually free) .. that should narrow down what is causing the fault ... it could be anything that is monitored by the computer ..the oxygen sensor is a common failure also cracked or leaking vacuum hoses have caused all kinds of troubles .. .. even an air leak in the gas cap seal will flag a trouble code .. so the first thing to do is get that diagnostic test done and hope its a cheap part that you can replace yourself ....
