My 2003 Dodge dakote keeps frying the blower motor resister and the only cheap fix is replace the pig tail going to the resister with indiviual conectors unless you want to spend 150+ at dodge for a new pig tail. Suggest you fix soon before it causes a fire, if this is your problem. They are known for this, has happened 3 times to mine until I did the fix I just explained.

Either the blower motor itself has gone bad or you have a fuse blown. Could also be a bad connection at the blower motor. Check all the fuses and then the wires at the blower with a test light. You can also use two wires and run them as a straight wire from the battery to the blower motor, one as a hot and the other as a ground, to ensure the blower is good. Also check your switch on the dash.

Why would my blower, vent, defrost, ac and heater just quit blowing air?

There are several possible reasons why your blower, vent, defrost, AC, and heater might stop blowing air:

1. Blower Motor Failure: The blower motor is responsible for blowing the air through the vents. If the blower motor fails, you will not get any airflow from the vents.
2. Blower Motor Resistor Failure: The blower motor resistor controls the speed of the blower motor. If the resistor fails, the blower motor may stop working or only work at one speed.
3. Fuse or Relay Failure: A blown fuse or faulty relay in the blower motor circuit can prevent the blower motor from working.
4. Control Module Failure: The HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) control module is responsible for controlling the blower motor and other components. If the control module fails, it can prevent the blower motor from working.
5. Vacuum Leak: If your vehicle uses a vacuum system to control the vents, a vacuum leak can prevent the system from working properly.
6. Broken Blend Door: The blend door controls the direction of the airflow. If the blend door breaks or gets stuck, the air may not flow through the correct vents.
7. Wiring or Connector Issues: Faulty wiring or connectors in the blower motor circuit can prevent the blower motor from working.

I have dodge ram van 3500 2003 blower fan not working. I think the wires behind the stereo have something to do with it?

blower on heat or AC fails dead.
but must work on HIGH, does blower high work?
there is blower high relay that most work on high.
the relay closed for high , on high and mode not set to off.(0)
if HIGH works and lower speed do not work the blower resistor is blown out.
causes,
fuse f10 blown.
to test just the blower 1 of 2 pins, ground wire LG/WT light green /white blower must blow or blower is dead. (or key not ON)

the wiring is here.

2000 Chevrolet Impala blower motor work from 1-4 but not on 5th speed why?

The blower motor relay is energized when the Blower Motor Control is set to the High position. This removes the blower motor resistors from the circuit and battery voltage is then applied directly from the HVAC BLO fuse (RH IP Accessory Wiring Junction Block) to the blower motor though the relay switch contacts. The blower motor then runs at high speed.

HVAC Blower Controls Circuit Description
The blower motor is a variable speed motor. The motor operates at a higher rate when voltage is increased to the maximum level.
The blower motor resistors reduce the voltage supplied from the A/C FAN fuse (LH IP Accessory Wiring Junction Block) when the blower control is set at low and medium speeds (speeds 1-4).

2003 trailblazer blower not working

Are you saying the blower motor would run intermittently and then just stopped working? My first thought is faulty blower motor, I've seen faulty blower motors that would run intermittently. Any motor that uses brushes, you can tap on the motor to see if it will start working, that is a sign of bad motor brushes, replace the blower motor. There could be other issues?
Did you check the blower fuse, not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage, use a test light. Check for applicable hvac trouble codes. With hvac on, check for voltage and ground at blower motor wiring connector, if both are good and no blower action, suspect the blower motor.

Heater is not working

HEATER BLOWER MOTOR

Its faulty blower motor resistor. The low and medium speed on blower motor is controlled by resistor and its actual speed is high. So because resistor is not working, blower motors actual speed which is high is working.

It can be faulty blower motor or faulty blower motor resistor. Get the blower motor inspected. If it's faulty it has to be replaced.
