The problem of the fan noise was solved by the mechanic how works on the Saturn. He found that he fan motors bearing had been worn so the fan was making noise. Especially when the air conditioner was turned on.
I want to thank you for all of your suggestions, which helped me discribe the problem to the mechanic.

You did not mention when this pinging occurs (all the time? idle? lugging under load?). If it is in fact in the engine, it is most likely a timing issue which can get complicated because it could be caused by a problem with the distributor, timing chain or chain tensioner, one or more faulty engine sensors, etc.
However, there are other causes of this noise. Most pinging noises at idle or low RPMs are not usually in the motor itself but rather from rotating parts that periodically touch something, and often happen when something comes loose or is bent, bearings get worn, or something made it into the engine compartment that shouldn't be there (a tool, a rock, etc.). Typical examples are worn out HVAC fan, cooling fan or AC compressor clutch bearings; a cooling fan blade touching metal or a loose shield; and so on. If this is the case, you should try to locate exactly where this noise is coming from - a stethoscope from an auto parts store may help.
you don`t say what type of noise the motor is making,so here are some things it could be.it could be thinned out motor oil due to not being changed regularly or low on oil,the camshaft could be worn, the valve lifters could be worn out or the rocker arms which will need replacing, the valves may need adjusting(rocker arms too much clearance)the noise could be from the worn pistons or the connecting rod bearings worn causing too much clearance making noise.the noise needs to be diagnoised in order to determine what needs to be done.the wire at the fuse box was it to by pass the fuse panel to get the fan to work correctly.if so it should be properly repaired to avoid a possible fire, which your insurance company probably would not cover as the system was tampered with.
It's very possible the fan motor has quit. The squealing noise is caused from motor bearing failure. As the bearings wear out or dry up the motor is harder to turn and require more current to run the motor. On lower speeds, the motor runs off a series of resistors that reduce the amount of voltage and current so the fan runs a lower speeds. If the bearings are worn, there is not enough voltage or current to turn the motor and that'sprobably the humming noise your hearing.
Good observation by the way.
Let me know.
