Correct code P0504?

What Colorado do you have ? 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive ? Sport ,sport LS 3.5L , Z71, Z71 LS. etc. what size engine ? an does it have electronic throttle control ? I have factory service info an it is not showing that code .
DTC P0506

Circuit Description

The throttle actuator control (TAC) motor is controlled by the powertrain control module (PCM). The DC motor located in the throttle body drives the throttle plate. In order to decrease idle speed, the PCM commands the throttle closed reducing air flow into the engine and the idle speed decreases. In order to increase idle speed, the PCM commands the throttle plate open allowing more air to pass the throttle plate. If the actual idle RPM does not match the desired idle RPM within a calibrated time, this DTC sets.

DTC Descriptor

This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC P0506 Idle Speed Low

1994 Camaro rough oepration and reduced power

I have a 94, and mine ran rough until I had a new computer control chip put in. The dealer doesnt sell then anymore, so you would need to get a reconditioned one (is that the right word?) from an auto parts store. I had to get this done twice because the first one was bad so they swapped it out. There was one more thing the former owner did to fix a rough run situation, I will post it when I find the receipt. Also, it smoothed out even more when I changed out the motor mounts. WAY less vibration. I love to drive this car now!

High start up rpm on 2001 jeep grand cherokee

Most vehicles run at a high RPM for a couple minutes until they are warmed up, and then it should drop down to normal idle speed.

While driving the truck it starts to cut back on speed. Whenever I give it more gas the rpm raises and the speed still decreases gradually going on an incline but not downhill.

Your transmission is not staying engaged and won't least a week like that
Get it to a trans repair shop, and don't use it until resolved

My engine is revving upon start of vehicle and the battery light goes on--- it will drive but it seems like the engine is idling too high

if your hearing a high pitched sound,it is probably your alternator working overtime to charge your battery,if it idles at a higher rpm, then someone tweeked ur idle speed, check under the hood,u can easily release using a wrench,

My car slams when put into drive. is it the idle

Yes, sounds like the idle speed is too high. If you keep driving like that, you will fry the torque converter / turbine. Since idle is computer controlled, you will have to take it for service tune up. There is one possibility that the rich, high rpm idle used for cold start is not disengaging properly after the engine warms up. Air conditioning will raise the idle speed by a couple hundred rpm, so avoid using it until you have the problem fixed. BTW.....warm engine rpm in idle, and neutral should be around 700-800. Anything over 900-1100 will result in a hard shift into 1st gear and dragging at stop lights.
