I have 2000 celica gt that is burning oil. Every moring 1/2 quart has to be added. What is wrong? Do i need to repalce seals and gaskets? Do i need a new engine? I would like to keep my vehicle if...

First, look for leaks. You'd be surprised how much oil can be lost from what appears to be a small leak. Next, if you have a pcv valve on your engine, make sure it's working. if it isn't, it can allow excessive pressure to build up inside the engine and push oil past seals and even the rings.
After that, just about anything else involves some teardown....Valve stem seals, worn piston rings and even worn engine bearings can and will contribute to oil consumption. To better understand what is going on inside the engine you'd need to have a compression or cylinder leak-down test done (better).
Only after having some good testing done by a reliable shop can you make an informed decision about what to do about it. Sometimes adding a good viscosity improver like lucas additive can help slow down consumption but it isn't cheap, so even though you may add less oil, it may cost you more to use the additive. No additive will fix worn parts though so have the tests done. As far as me telling you what's wrong, I cant....I'd have to do the same tests I recommended or I'd just be guessing...you don't need me to do that!!!

I have a 92 toyoya celica 2200motor i have a huge leak from the drivers side of engine, i have cleaned off the engine and it seems the oil is leaking down at a rapid pace from behind the belts and dripping...

When you say it's leaking from behind the belts, do you mean from behind the timing cover? If it is coming from behind the timing cover, it could be a crank seal or a cam seal. If it's either of these, then it will not be a very easy repair to do from home unless you're very familiar with timing belt work. If that's the case, you may want to take it to a mechanic.

Good Luck!

1993 Toyota Celica GT oil leak from front of engine block

The most common cause of all oil leaks is the valve cover gasket. The oil drips down from there and covers everything. If your valve cover is leaking, replace it first.

Then the second most common leak in the front of the engine is the crankshaft seal. This seal should have been replaced when the timing belt is replaced as you have everything removed to get to it, and the seal is easy to replace. However if it is not replaced at that time then you will have to remove everything again to access it. The seal is 3 or four dollars, but the labor is two to three hours and you should replace the timing belt, idler pulleys, tensioner and water pump when you are in there, as that will all be removed. Hope this help. Good luck :O)

I have a 1990 toyota celica gt hatchback STRUT RPLACEMENT

I won't address your struts question because you can find the answer in any service manual. Refer to the free repair manual for your car at www.autozone.com. Look in the "Steering and Suspension" section.

For your other two questions.

If the oil on the passenger side is leaking from down low it could be coming from the oil pan gasket. You'll have to remove the oil pan and reseal it with a new after-market gasket or with gasket-maker. If it is coming from higher up behind the timing cover, most likely it would be from either the crankshaft seal or the camshaft seal. Replacing these involves removing the timing belt and the camshaft and crankshaft pulleys. Refer to the service manual. Or it could be coming from the oil filter. Make sure that the filter is securely in place, and check that its gasket is in good condition, or just replace the filter.

The vibration/rumble is most likely due to old worn out motor mounts. You can probably eliminate 80% of the vibration by replacing the front right motor mount - the one that attaches to the passenger fender. To replace the mount, start by loosening the mount's center bolt nut. If I recall correctly it is a 19mm nut, and you will probably need to fit a steel pipe extension over a 19mm wrench to loosen it. Then support the engine with a jack before you loosen all the other bolts on the fender and the timing cover. .

Let me know if you have any questions.
