If you have the type of crank angle sensor shown in the image, then it will be located on the bell-housing towards the top of the bell-housing and usually on the drivers side. Dis-connect the faulty crank angle sensor and then un-bolt the two bolts that secure the crank angle sensor to the bell-housing and then remove the sensor. The best access to the crank angle sensor is from under the vehicle.

This type of crank position sensor is for an automatic transmission, and this type actually has an elongated slot for the attaching bolt and the crank position sensor should be adjusted so that it does not contact the tone ring and damage the sensor, and after installing this type it would be a good idea to turn the engine over slowly with a breaker bar and socket on the front crankshaft bolt to be sure that the crank position sensor does not contact the tone ring before the engine is started.

PCU replacement for Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ

car_parts.com can probably get you the part. I would be more suspicious of the Crankshaft position sensor. In my experience, PCM on chrysler vehicles are very reliable with good self protection devices. (not that the never go bad) In 23 years of working on vehcles I may have replaced 3 or 4 on the Jeep/chrysler. 90% of the cases I have worked on with your symptoms ended up with a crankshaft position sensor. If the check engine light does not go out while the engine is cranking then you probably have no crank signal. It is located on the left side of the bell housing near the rear of the engine block. Will have two 10mm bolts holding it in place. New one will come with a piece of felt or paper stuck to end of it. This is for spacing purposes. Hold it in against flexplate and tighten bolts. Paper will come off when engine is turned over. Done

Jeep wont start

The crank position sensor is on the bell housing of the transmission, very hard to see, on passenger side, below the valve cover, depending if it is an early 2000 or a later 2000 model.
