You have a transmission fluid leak fill it up start the car and find it. Its probably a hose from the tranny to the cooler.

Have you checked transmission fluid level? If its low you could have similar symptoms. Otherwise Sounds like transmission went out.

93 Dodge Spirit hit curb Hit curb on back driver side tire. Nothing wrong with tire but right after I hit the curb, my car started to shake and slow down. It turned off completely when at a stop. Oil...

the smoke came from the spilled oil leaking onto a hot surface ( manifold) No problem there. The oil light coming on was probably from the oil surging away from the oil pickup in the sump momentarily allowed the oil pump to suck air hence a drop in oil pressure. To have all that happen, the hit on the curd was substantial. so I thinking bent axle flange and broken engine mounts could explain vibrations and engine shaking

My 1990 gmc k2500 sierra four wheel drive has blue smoke coming out of tail pipe and runs low on tranny fluid and i need to add 2 qts a week but there are now leaks.how am i loosing tran fluid?

Pull the vacuum line of the transmission modulator valve. If there's oil in the line, the diaphragm in the modulator valve is cracked and engine vacuum is pulling trans fluid into the engine intakee

The battery light came on and by the time i got home from work there was smoke coming from the engine. i opened the hood and noticed that there was transmission fluid all over the place. there didnt seem...

If it is spraying out like crazy it could be as simple as the dipstick is missing. I would start there. I left my dipstick out once and fluid get everywhere, which would cause the smoking engine effect.

Car overheating and engine light on

well, driving it 30 minutes after it over heated might have cause serious engine damage, warped head, and other bad engine wear, let the engine cool down park it in a level place and check the fluids, if the water has a milky substance in it then you have a bad problem, if the oil is low then check for leaks, check the transmission fluid for proper fluid level and that could stop the hard shifting.

the smoking could be coming from the fluids that leaked out and when they get hot will start smoking, antifreeze residue will smoke for a short time, it might just need to burn off
