Sounds like air in the line. Did you start your bleed at the right rear.If you replaced the M/C you have air in the line.Get a helper and pump the brakes until all of the air is out , starting at right rear.It may take a few tries to get all the air out , but with new everything it is this or a leak. Was the master C. new or rebuilt. Check all 4 wheels for any sign of a leak. If no leaks and you bleed all the air out maybe your master cylinder is bad.

OK........as you have stated that you have bled the brakes properly.....was there fluid coming out each bleed nipple as a flowing stream...????

And did you shut off the bleed nipple half way down stroke....?????

If this is all ok, then I would be looking at a failed master cylinder.......and what is occurring is the fluid is leaking from the primary to the secondary within the master cylinder !!!!!

Brakes wont work pedal goes to floor changed the master cyclinder bleed brakes and still have same problem 1990 ford aerostar van

What is the condition of both front calipers? both rear wheel cylinders? and the complete brake lines and hoses of your van? If they are all good with no traces of leakage, then did you bleed the Mastercylinder on the bench first before installing in the van? Did you gravity bleed the 4 wheels first? did you bleed from the farthest wheel first? Are you using a new Master and not a re-built??

Need to changer mastercylinder.

Hi,

This is how you go about it;

1) Detach brake line connections from MasterCylinder

2) Detach brake pedal connection to MasterCylinder inside the car

3) Unbolt and remove old MasterCylinder

4) Bench-bleed new MasterCylinder,

5)Do the reverse of steps 1-3

6)Finally, you need to bleed the entire brake system and make sure pedal-height is normal. Honda specifies using a depth gauge to set pedal height

Take care

TO ADJUST PEDAL HEIGHT ADJUST WITH A STOPPER LIMITING THE UPWARD TRAVEL OF THE PEDAL.PEDAL FREE PLAY IS ADJUSTED AT THE MASTERCYLINDER PUSH ROD.IF PUSH ROD IS NON ADJUSTABLE FREE PLAY IS ADJUSTED BY PLACING SHIMS BETWEEN THE MASTERCYLINDER AND THE FIREWALL.ON A FEW MODELS PEDAL FREE PLAY CAN ALSO BE ADJUSTED AT THE OPERATING SLAVE CYLINDER PUSHROD.PUSHRODS ARE AVAILABLE IN THREE LENGTHS FOR THE 310.PEDAL HEIGHT ABOVE FLOOR IS 6.73 - 7.13 INCH PEDAL FREE PLAY IS 0.04 - 0.12 INCH.YOU HAVE CLUTCH FLUID LONG AS YOU SEE BRAKE FLUID IN MASTERCYLINDER.IF MASTERCYLINDER LOW YOU HAVE TO BLEED THE THE CLUTCH MASTERCYLINDER BY LOCATING BLEED SCREW ON SLAVE CYLINDER. REMOVE THE BLEED SCREW DUST CAP.ATTACH A CLEAR TUBE TO THE BLEED SCREW.PUT OTHER END OF CLEAR TUBE IN A CLEAN CONTAINER OF BRAKE FLUID.FILL THE MASTERCYLINDER WITH BRAKE FLUID.OPEN BLEED SCREW 3/4 A TURN.DEPRESS CLUTCH PEDAL QUICKLY.HOLD IT DOWN.HAVE A HELPER TIGHTEN THE BLEED SCREW.ALLOW PEDAL TO RETURN SLOWLY.BLEEDER SCREW TORQUE IS 5 - 6 FT LBS.IF YOU SEE AIR BUBBLES CLEAR BLEED TUBE.REPEAT THE BLEED PROCESS UNTIL YOU SEE NO AIR BUBBLES.DONT LET CLUTCH MASTERCYLINDER GO DRY WHILE BLEEDING.IF SO YOU GOT START BLEEDING PROCESS ALL OVER.HOPE THIS HELP.

IT sounds like your brake mastercylinder has went out so what you need to do is get a new mastercylinder and replace that and bleed out the whole brake system after you put on the new mastercylinder.

2001.5 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500 4x4 Brake Pedal drops to floor

It sounds like you have a bad mastercylinder cause when you panic brake it doesn't have time to bleed through the valve in the cylinder but under normal braking your foot is on pedal longer in turn giving the fluid time to bypass the valve in the mastercylinder in turn the pedal going to the floor.
