More than likely if one key works and one doesn't the key that is malfunctioning just needs to be programmed.
Contact the dealer you bought the vehicle from and tell them what is going on; and they should be able to reprogram the key for you in just a few minutes.

2007 Kia Magentis random no start issue.

well all cars end up like this, for sure not doing service points per the makers guild.
so it is NOT a NO START (50 causes)
it is a DEAD starter called CRANKING is dead. 6-8 causes.
we we have posted the answer here 100 times. googling gets millions.
well first is the drivers seat you look at the dash cluster
for IMMO lamp errors. (security key errors ) if yes BINGO all in 1 second flat you see the IMMO is not happy, engine immoblizer is glowing DEAD WRONG.
per the users guide now lost>

  1. IMMO not happy, fix that, first (users guide page 3-8)
  2. battery cables loose or rusty lugs or gee both. sure this old. sure;.
  3. the battery that old is NEVER GOOD ,ever. in fact on 2nd battery and now it died too and gee even INTERMITTANT batteries happen EASY (common)_
  4. key switch bad.
  5. starter relay bad
  6. no transmisssion told (auto or stick) but PRNDL bad but amazing it cranks in neutral tried, (per users guide) or if STICK, clutch switch bad.
  7. starter bad. (it can be hot wired, keys in pocket safely , ask how.

if the starter motor is dead (no crank) how can you say the battery is good.
IDK. elaborate that?. new, and charged and fully load tested is the answer

Limp home (override) procedure
When you turn the ignition key to the ON
position, if the IMMO indicator goes off
after blinking 5 times, your transponder
equipped in the ignition key is out of order.BAD
You cannot start the engine without the
lime home procedure. To start the engine,
you have to input your password by using
the ignition switch

Kia Cerato 2007 ignition on depress clutch it starts. Clutch fully pressed to floor strange noise let it off approx inch from floor no noise just bought car cheap

I don't know. on most key start cars, when you twist
the ignition key, the engine starts. if you twist the key
again the starter may try to engage again and you will
hear a strange noise. you may have a similar situation
with your clutch start. push to floor to start. release
immediately and don't push it to the floor again.

2004 kia sorenta, cranks fine but after a few miles act as if running out of gas. Turn it of and recrank and it will run for a short minute then does again

Have fuel filter changed if it has one. If not it get a shop to check fuel pressure at the fuel rail on engine. If it is low your fuel pump is going bad.

My hilux won't start keeps blowing the ignition fuse when turning the key on

that is a dead short, the fuse saved you the ensuing fire.
there are 2 fuses or more... with that name..
old cars love to short things, no lie.
the fsm is the best thing to have, and alldata.com , 2nd.
the older that car the more true that is... and your car is 10x that.
a 1991
is the fuse in the cab BOX? NOT ENGINE BAY?
THE CAB FUSE , HAS these (USA cars, other are DIFFERENT)
no country stated (sigh)
ignition sw AM1
ignition sw AM2
ignitor 1
ignition coil (1 for 4cy, and 1 for v6 engine, unsaid)
on one car there is a IGN fuse 7.5 amps
and runs the ECU and main relay.
there are 3 engines, and drawing for all 3.

get the fsm and use that or login to alldata.com and hope
it covers your engine. (unstated)

2. Locate the "disarm/programming" button which is secured to the remote start wire harness behind the left lower dash panel.
3. Press and hold the "disarm/programming" button for 10-15 seconds until the horn beeps 3 times.
4. Release the "disarm" programming button.

The battery in my 2006 Kia Sorenta will not start my car if I get a jump it will start right up and run good. If I turn it off and go back to start it up it dosen't start. It's not the alternator

Check your battery terminals, if they have any corrison on them they need to be cleaned. Also make sure your battery terminals are good and tight.
