No vacuum hose as this is an electronic shift control trans. Check the fluid condition and rad cap to see if there is any cross contamination due to a faulty trans cooler in the rad. If MIL is on check code

Check your transmission fluid level. By putting it into gear at high RPM, you're forcing it and may be really damaging your transmission. The car needs to be running when you check your dipstick (its the red handled one.)

In most cases nothing, but have your antifreeze tested to see if maybe to much concntrate, otherwise, just keep eye on it and fluids to make don't go the other way.

check that the throttle cable is to tight otherwise air in the coolant line at thew throttle body

the mechanic should check on the electrical system of the car .the battery , the coils ,.the rotor the fuses , the starter solenoid , the sensor the spark plug and the distributor assembly. check for worn out and corroution . If there is then clean if not any more working then replace.loose connection also may be one cost of not warming. The fuel pump should also be checked and the idle to be adjusted for acceleration.The inter cooler do not have a problem with this it don't have a connection.It should not be touched.the surging when you place it to the fifth gear may be is about the quantity of the gas or fuel that is going to the engine when running.

there is a fuel pump inside the tank that is bad replace it

The only fluid expansion tank I know of is for the cooling system,and if that is the case you my have a leak in the transmission cooler that is built into the radiator.

There a lot of cuses for this but you need to scan the vehicule before to know what sensor is having troubles, if is too much expensive the scan in your city consider to buy one. I see in ebay a lot of types of OBD2 scanners for $25-30!
