Hello hell, I have a strange noise coming from the front part of the engine. I have a 98 2.8 audi a4, timing belt was done. The electric fan works fine. The regular fan can easily be stopped by hand. The noise seems to come from the right top side of the engine. Anybody heard of something like this?

Hi ---Audi A4 1.8 T year 2003 approx 63000 miles, engine stopped no noise. Apon inspection the timing belt is still on but very worn, will there be further engine damage

If belt is that badly warn, timing could have jumped and stopped the engine. Apparently this is a no interference engine and no noise when it stopped running means no valve or piston damage was done when it stopped. Replace the timing belt, being real sure the belt and cam timing are correct when put together.

Hello, i just realised my car is overheating. The temp gauge reaches around 110-115 degress while driving even when stationary. Theres plenty of coolant and i have had a new timing belt and water pump for...

Check the radiator and the cooling fan. open the hood as the engine temperature rises does the fan come on. if not that the problem, Also do this As the car is warming up(from a cold start) near operating temperature, turn off the car, watch out for the fan, engine of key in your pocket fell the radiator is there any hot or cold spot? if there is the radiator is plugged. Also if the radiator isnt plugged new doesnt mean it works, the water pump itself can be faulty. and dont forget the most important device the Thermostat you did timing belt waterpump they should of done thermostat.

Have a raddelling noise in the front suspension Audi A4

its sounds like possible stabilizer bar links also known as sway bar links. some links have a ball and socket style(more than likely yours are) not sure what theyll cost for an audi a easy test just grab a hold of the sway bar and shake it up and down you should feel any slack and might be able to re create the noise but youll have to be under the vehicle to really shake it . although its possible you need struts and/or mounts if its been a while or never done bouncing the car up and down with the hood open should show the strut bouncing if the mounts bad hope this helps good luck

2009 Audi A4 - Strange mechanical noise on opening front door

I dont think this is a problem. I have the same noise when openning the doors on my 2009 1.8t a4, u might also get this sound when you open the trunk as well. this is probably a manufacturing thing. it could be that the car senses that the door are open so that it would prepare the on board computer for ignition or something of that sort... thats my guess though!! but i believe its normal
