Check the batt connections again make sure they are not corroded, check connections at the starter and the alternator, and get the alt checked out too.

Car won't Crank/start

With a voltage meter see how many volts are at the starter terminal. If not 12+ volts you have a bad connection. Check connection at the starter solenoid. Does it have 12+volts? Short the solenoid. Does it put voltage to the starter?

There are many things to prevent car no to start:
Solutions:
-Battery line to starter must be good connect (good tight)
-Make sure the line to starter solenoid is good connect.

If the ignition switch fuse, starter relay, battery, and starter are all new, why wont my jeep crank

Here are some possible reasons:

Park/neutral switch is open.
Poor ground connection to starter.

You can test the park/neutral switch by either jumping the solenoid (connect the hot terminal to the start terminal to see if the starter cranks--if it does, the ground is good) or by interrogating the starter relay socket. To interrogate the relay socket, use a 12 volt test light connection the clip to battery positive. Probe the socket terminals with the test light. If only one terminal lights the light, your park/neutral switch is bad or the start wire to the solenoid is bad.

Truck won't start lights etc are on (power) there is a click and the engine light is one 2007 1500

Have the battery and the connections at the battery checked, remove the battery terminals first and clean them then try to start it and if the battery tests good then i would say you have a bad starter. and when replacing the starter check the big cable connection at starter. good day.

My 1994 Jeep Cherokee Country - 6 cyl 4WD is clicking and not turning over. My battery is a few years old and I replaced the starter 2 years ago. I have been told that it may be the solenoid.....any...

First, do not assume anything. Check the battery with a volt meter and make sure there is 12.v or better there. Clean cable terminals where they contact the battery, check both ends of cables for good clean solid connection. Since you hear a click, that is good ...ignition switch etc is likely good. Check the voltage at the starter : large cable should have 12v, small wire should have 12v when key is turned to "start" position. If you have both, starter has failed. Some Jeeps have an additional starter relay inside the power distribution center near the battery. if you have voltage at the starter, the relay is good. If when you test battery, voltage is low, have it charged and load tested. If battery fails test, no other tests are valid.
Once started, check for running voltage of at least 12.9v with all accessories and lights on. At no time should voltage drop below 12.5, or should it continue to creep down. If it does, the alternator may be faulty.(providing belt is good and tight)

Not cranking

There is a relay in the power distribution box near the battery. Check that. Also, check the block connections on battery leads for clean secure connection. Small wire on starter should have 12v there when cranking (or key turned to start. If power is there and no crank, starter is bad. Last resort, check ignition switch for power in/out.(rare but they do go bad)
