All Chrysler products recommend driving with at least half tank of gas to keep fuel pump cool in hot weather especially.

My 06 ridgeline runs fine until I remove the gas cap, when I put gas cap back on it won't start unless I pump the accelerated a lot

Damaged/clogged evap canister. You probably overfilled fuel tank one too many times and caused damage. Evap canister is kind of charcoal filled canister located on your fuel system vent. When tank is overfilled gasoline reaches evap canister and and makes charcoal to became hard like clay. Once that happens fuel tank looses its vent and fuel pump cannot pull fuel because vaccum created inside fuel tank.

2006 Hyundai Accent, ran it out of gas. Put about 3gals. in it, turns over, but won't fire. Any ideas?

Hi!

When you let your car go to completely empty, it starts to run on the fumes of gasoline. As you cannot clean your gas tank, dirt and other contaminants get into the tank -- thus lowering the quality of your gasoline.

I suggest filling up with more higher tier gasoline. If this does not work, I would see a mechanic.

Hope this helps!

How can gas cap loose message be linkd to my gas guage not working correctly?

My guess is the fuel tank sender unit has come adrift inside the tank somehow. Run the car to a very low tank level, locate the tank sender unit release it to access it and see if that gives you any clues. Please remember you are dealing with gasoline and all precautions should be taken. If you are not sure how to do it get a knowledgeable neighbour or good DIY tech to help. I'm pretty sure if you fix the sender problem it will stop the erratic message.

We can't put more than $20 in the tank before it starts to over flow, with the gas gauge on empty when we start pumping. Then the gauge reads 3/4 tank. When it runs down to half it jumps straight down to...

Your fuel pump assembly located inside the gas tank has a float that measures how much gasoline is in the tank. False readings means the fuel pump assembly needs to be replaced.

Town and Country Van running out of gas and guage says half a tank what could be the problem?

If your fuel gauge is showing you in accurate readings this is normal to all vehicles that are not used to fill-up gas full regularly but sometimes the cause of the inacuracy is due to faulty float valve in the gas tank you need to replace it

Don't let the car run out of gas. Fill the tank and run until the tank is half empty. Again fill the tank.
By driving until you run out of gas, you are letting sediments/dirt collected in the bottom of the tank to enter the engine. Rather they will block the fuel filter. Then gas will not reach the engine.
Clean the gas filter and your car will run fine.
The same advice again. Don't drive until the tank becomes empty.

I was driving the other day on E and afte3r that my car started having a lot of problems .... my check engine light is blinking,my ABS light is one and my service light is now....

When you say E, I am supposing it is Empty. When a car is running on empty the fuel pump picks up dirt and debris from the bottom of the tank. Check your fuel filter. Fill up the tank with fresh gasoline to at least half tank. The ABS brake system comes on when there is not enough fluid in the barke fluid reservoir. Check the fluid level. it could also be you need brake pads.
