Today as I was driving, I realized my radar detector was not on so I tried pushing the plug in a little more, and when I did the radio stopped working also. I tried testing the fuse for the radio/lighter, but that doesn't seem to be the problem? I know the radio and lighter are on the same fuse, but I tried a good fuse and it still didn't work. Any ideas?

Open your hood, and see check the relay box. You may have shorted them out and may need to replace the relay. Look inside the cover to locate the correct relay.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

My key remote stop working

The remote battery may have gone flat, or the remote may have come un-synchronised. (Due to a heavy knock or interference from a radio transmitter source. Like someones speed radar detector.)

Replace the battery first, if this does not fix it, consult your dealer on the synchronising process. This is an involved process but easy enough to do yourself at home!

12v power port (not cigarette lighter) with radar detector connected killing battery without car running

it sucks power through anything it's plugged into, like a power outlet on a wall, even something turned off takes a tiny amount from it. you have to unplug it every time you cut the car off. or did you want someone to tell you a way to rig it! that's why you have a freaking radar detector, you're a speeder, you should just get rid of the damn thing honestly, they can ticket a parked car with one of those.

2002 Honda Odyssey Trying to hard wire a radar to go off with key

The radio fuse has power until the key is removed.. Try and locate the air conditioning or engine fuse, both these will lose power when the ign key is removed..if all else fails, use a 12volt test probe to check each fuse in turn until you locate one which is switched by the key..

Cigarette lighter doesn't work. Need to know where the fuse is

If the cigarette lighter does not stick when you push the lighter in then this is the step to take. The prongs inside the lighter adapter have been pushed too far out. ( This happens if you plug other electronics like satellite radio or radar detectors) First, you MUST take out the fuse from the fuse box located under in the glove box. Second, look inside the lighter adapter (not the lighter) you will see two prongs that are supposed to be flared a bit inward. Simply get a small flat head screwdriver and pick the prongs outward but not too much. Do test trials with the lighter to ensure the lighter sticks. Plug the fuse back in and your lighter will be good as new. -Pete

Cigarette lighter came off

Test to see if you are getting +12V at the center contact and connect meter to an alternate ground point....perhaps the ground wire fell off?? Otherwise I would see if power lead slipped off rear of lighter connector.

Clock

When I suggested "power supply", I meant power as regulated internally inside the clock. It has nothing to do with the tune up you mentioned.

The only theory I can come up with on your radar detector going off is relative to high voltage interference from old poorly insulated wires/ cap/ etc. Same thing that causes static on AM radio stations. Did the problem get worse after the tune-up? Did they actually change the wires? Honda OEM wires don't usually get changed on simple tune-ups (they are good wires). These are picky cars for this sort of thing, I usually only used OEM tune-up parts on Hondas. So, if your problem got worse after the tune up, then I'd suspect the after-market parts.
