Your brake pedal has a switch located at the top of the brake pedal arm that may need to be replaced. Is there a slot by the shifter that you can put the key into? Most cars have a slot that you can release the shifter with. If not see if your brake lights work. If not you may need to replace the brake light switch.

Hi

You should have a overide switch which it located near the gear lever.

It will be RED and you should just have to press it in.

Hope this helps

How do i check the transmision fluid on my 2011 kia sportage

Its not simple, but can be done.Idle the engine for around 15 minutes to get transmission up to temperature. Lift the front of the car and remove the under tray. Locate a filler plug towards the lower edge of the valve body cover. While the engine is idling in Park remove the plug. If fluid runs out there is sufficient fluid. If no fluid runs out, add fluid through the filler until it runs out. This will leave the fluid at a minimum level, to get it to maximum level you must add another 700ml through the breather. Refit the filler plug, switch off the engine, remove the banjo fitting at the top of the cover, and add fluid through this hole. Check for leaks and refit under tray. Lower vehicle to ground

I can't shift my transmision from park to reverse. My car is Honda Element 2003

Could be the brake light switch or the solenoid in the shifter that locks it in park.
Someone would need to check the circuit for those components.
Your owners manual may have an emergency procedure to get the shifter out of park.

Transmision fluid leaking on ground what would be the problem?

Depends on where it's leaking from. Could be a bad hose going to the cooler, could be a bad fitting at the cooler, could be the front seal on the transmission. You need to clean the underside of the car real good and then park your car over some cardboard. that way when it drips, you can figure out about where it's leaking. Could also be leaking from the fluid pan due to loose screws or a failing gasket.

How do i check my transmission fluid? for a 2000

Set the parking brake and put a block on at least one wheel. Pop the hood and find the Transmission dipstick. Start the engine and shift the gear shift into neutral. Pull the dipstick, wipe it with a clean rag, put it back in, pull it out and read it.

TRANSMISION ON A GRAND CHEROKE 05

More than likely you are low on transmission fluid.  Check your fluid level.  The proper way to check it is with the vehicle idling, warm, and on a level surface in park.

Transmision level fluid Baleno esteem 2002 susuki

The proper fluid level is marked on the dip stick. With the engine running and in park, raise the hood and remove the dip stick from the autotrans filler tube. With a clean rag, wipe down the stick and then place the dip stick all the way back in the tube again, and then pull it out once more.
Holding the stick level, you can now read what the fluid level is.

If you add any fluid, do so in small amounts, such as a half a pint at a time.

Do not add fluid with engine running.
