Sounds like a broken line, could be a sender unit or hose, either way the tank has to be removed. not a fun job on your back. Most garages charge about $200.00 plus parts to do the job. hopefully it is a hose, because sendder units come with pumps now days and they will start at about $300.00 and go up

It bogg down on full throttle and gas leak on top of the tank while running

if you have a fuel leak from top of tank then it could be a fuel line or O ring leaking, which can cause a drop in fuel pressure causing it to bog down. if its a steel fuel tank the tank could be rotted out. either way fix fuel leak first and go from there.

I have fuel leaking from the top front right side of the fuel tank. What could be the cause of this leak?

You could have a bad fitting or line connecting to the fuel tank leaking over the top of the fuel tank and just dripping down the side. A road hazard (nail, glass, piece of wood could have been thrown up and hit the tank causing it to leak, or you could have gone over something like a curb or parking lot obstacle that could have damaged the tank. Someone will have to put it up on a lift and examine it to find out which. Have it towed, gas leaks are nothing to play with.

How can I diagnose & fix a fuel leak in a 2005 dodge caravan?

check to see if the fuel filter is leaking at line connections as the filter is on top of the tank. if so replace the filter. check the seal for the tank unit that seals this to the tank. being this new it should be good its more likely the fuel filter.

Why does my svt contour gas tank overflow into the parking lot when filling up.

There are two hoses running from the filler neck. Either of them could be leaking from the top. There is also a seal on the top of the tank where the fuel pump is that can leak. If your car leaks the whole time you are putting fuel in, I would suspect the hoses. If it only leaks when you get it full, then check the seal on the top of the tank. The top of the tank can be seen without dropping the tank. Remove your back seat and you will see a cover over the fuel pump. Remove that cover and you can see the top of the tank.

Gas leaking from bracket holding fuel tank. cant pinpoint leak.is there hoses on the top of the tank hidden from view?

The fuel supply and return lines connect to the fuel pump on the top of the fuel tank. And the fuel tank filler neck connects to the tank with a rubber hose. Thats on the side where you put the gas in.

Fuel is leaking or being forced out of the tank had a recent fuel pump replaced is it possible to have a leak after such a procedure

yes very very possible the fuel lines probably are very rusty and/or brittle and when disturbed to replace pump can develop a leak also any connections where the lines hook to tank can leak or could be top seal on tank where pump goes into tank(top seal usually only leak on a full or near full tank)

When vehicle is running, fuel leaks from tank, if I shut the vehicle off and open the gas cap and release the pressure the leak stops. Could a defective seal at the top of the tank cause this problem.

the pressure in the tanks is not enough to "lift" the fuel up to where the seal is on the top. the tanks usually have the fuel pump and level sensor mounted in thru the top. actually if there was a leak anywhere above the fuel level in the tank it would not leak fuel but leak pressure which you would not see. it most likely is a rust thru spot on the tank, it only needs to be a small pin hole for it to leak and it can be very hard to see.
