I had the same issue on my 2005 Bonneville, and found that several other GM vehicles have the same problem. If you have Climate controls for driver and passenger, the first thought is that it is an actuator or actuator door problem.
But, it's most likely that you are low on freon. Your system only has about 2-2.5 lbs of freon. You may only need to add 0.5 lb to get cold air back on the driver side.
Of course, this means that you have a slow leak that will need to eventually get fixed. My leak is slow enough that I have to add 0.5 lbs each 4 weeks.
This sounds like a bad blend door motor, this car must have daul zones for heat and ac,try replacing the motor, its located on the heaterbox, youll have to check them all to locate the right one, locate one at a time and move control in all postions even operate the recir door untill you find the one that doesnt move and that will be your bad one, unless you know where the blend door is in the box then just replace driverside or which everside is not working right.
SOURCE: driver side heat blows cool air passenger side
Hello. The side that is not operating properly has a bad temp door actuator located up under the dash. I am assuming this vehicle has driver/passenger(dual)climate control heat and cold settings. This is a very common problem on these vehicles. Hope you find this information useful!
SOURCE: AC blows cool air on passenger side but warm on driver's
Yes there is both a door and a flapper you have a problem with a blend door motor, it is not switching to cold it is half open and half closed so you need to replace the motor vacuum motor it is under the dash near the heater on the passenger side and if it is the other motor under dash you will have to take part of the dash apart to get to it, to test buy a piece of vacuum hose 1/8 inch diameter about 3 feet long and you can hook it to each of the vacuum motors and **** on the end of the line to see which one is causing you the problem, also could be the control head for the AC inside the car where the controls are, you have to remove the ac cluster ot get to the vacuum switch it's all vacuum operated and if you pull it out you will be able to here an audible sound of air leaking if it's the switch.
SOURCE: 2004 toyota sienna a/c not working one side cold other side warm
there are two a/c lines that run down the fire wall under the van to the rear.right around the bottom of the fire wall the is a connection point on both lines. you will find a leak there .replace the orings and recharge system. also you will need two specail toyota tools to release the couplings.i have done this repair on several sienna's. let me know if this helps.

That is correct, the air blend door actuator. "flapper valve" may need to be replaced or cleaned and free from binding up. Good luck and hope this helps. If there is an Auto Zone in your area, they can order the part you need and give you the step by step instructions to removing the old actuator and replacing it if it's damaged. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.
SOURCE: 1998 Buick Century Air Conditioner not blowing out cold air
My 98 Buick Century was doing the same thing. Up here is the north we have Canadian Tire. Went in there picked up a aircon recharge kit called RED TEC 12A hole kit costs $40 cnd I put 1 can in on the low pressure side which is the only fitting that the filler would fit on and now I have 33 degree air coming out of the drivers side and a couple degrees colder from passenger side.
I am sure you guys have something like Canadian tire down there you might even try Wallmart.
