The rear A/C line is leaking on my envoy and I'm being told it is very expensive to replace. Can I remove and plug this line and only have front A/C?

The AC isn't working in my 2002 GMC Envoy. I'm

The a/c system has to be drained and the line has to be replaced/ repaired... I do not know of any where to get the repair kit without working at a shop, but you probably could get the lines from the dealership, or possibly aftermarket depending on availability... the most important thing is making sure the a/c system is drained i had an unexperianced tech i worked with that did not have the system completly drained and end up getting freon in his eye and doing perminant damage from frostbite to his eye.... so be very careful and be sure that the system is empty..... depending on where it is leaking and which line i could give you more info on how to replace it if you would like with some more information about where the leak is and etc.

I have a 2004 GMC Envoy 2WD 6 cylinder 4.2 liter engine The car has 150,000 miles and we were told that rear heater leaks and it will cost for the replacement part $1,240.00. Is there a way to repair...

if you are handy you may be able to take out the rear heater core and take it to a radiator shop to test and repair the leak,,,other than that you can probably find a used one for alot less ,last you can do what the dealer suggested, just block off the lines going to the rear heater and just use the front heat...good luck with the repair!

Airbag light on dash is on. Told $600 to replace "rear airbag sensor". Can I buy the sensor and replace it with less cost?

Wow, that's expensive. $600 sure sounds like the air bag module itself. The air bag "sensors" located at the front near the radiator hold downs, there's 2 of them are around $45 each.

Fan clutch and coolant flush

If there is another dealer nearby get a second opinion. Repairs these days are very expensive.

My Chevy 2002 Tahoe is leaking oil. They told me

this truck is equipped with an aluminum oil pan you could have 1 or several things going on... a stripped drain plug which is causing it to leak or it may be a leaking front seal or a rear main seal. If it is a front seal it is not to labor intensive. But if it is a rear main seal leaking it will require the transmission to be removed since the seal is a 1 piece rear main

97 suburban rear a/c doesnt get cold but front works great

the expansion valve is in the rear ac housing and it is bolted directly to the rear evaporator. it is an actual expansion valve and not an orifice tube. the part is about $45. the interior on the passenger side has to come out along with the entire rear ac sytem.

Broken Brake line

It's the same as any other car or truck. Simply cut the rubber off & there's a nut, like any other brake line. Loosen the lines as you would for any job. Now you say the lines are rusted,if they're that bad then you'll need to replace them from front to rear. This requires a tubing bender(hand held) & a doulble flare tool & unions. You can forget about that "expensive" part. It's a brake balance controler & never goes bad.

crank sensor could be the culprit. Not likely to be the PCM.
