These are bad for intake gaskets leaking, Look on rear of engine (Right side looking downfrom front) look on top of trans, If you see liquid there, It is for sure a blown intake gasket

There right it's the a/c and that's normal, just for your satifaction next time on your way home don't run the a/c and see if you still see water leaking out when you get home,if you don't a/c.

Burning smell in 97 grand prix

I suspect these problems are unrelated.

Braking shake is usually caused by warped rotors or drums. A brake shop can machine or replace these.

A burning smell is most commonly caused when a drip from an oil leak hits the hot exhaust system. It does not need much to smell terrible. You will see brown or black stains on the exhaust somewhere.

Why is my Grand Prix surging/stalling when ideling?

If you did not disconnect the battery and drain the voltage from the ECM, it could be using old settings when the problem existed.
When a problem occurs, the computer tries to correct it or find new settings to work around the problem. When you fix a problem you have to clear the codes and sometimes erase the memory from the computer to allow it to start back at the factory settings.
When you disconnect something and the check engine light comes on, the computer goes into limp mode and uses values for the sensors preset by the factory. The car will almost always run rich to ensure the driver can get back to a place for repairs.

2002 grand prix overheats at idle

Sounds like the fans (which are designed to simulate the wind when u are not moving) are not cutting on. While car is running in park and with the AC on, look under the hood to see if the fan is running? If you have 2 fans, one will run when the AC is on, the other when the car reaches a certain temperature. Post your findings for additional instructions.

Running rich, smelling rich

You may have a bad fuel injector or in need of a tune up badly. The early fuel injection (throttle body) had a single fuel injector that would clog and not spray fuel in a mist but would dump fuel. Does it run rough at idle? That is a good indicator. Some are rebuildable but I would suggest replacement. If you have not had a tune up in a while that should be done too.

Go the Cheaper Route First and Go back to the Parts store and ask for a Cooler Thermostat. Try that and let me know what you have got.
