SOURCE: Power Steering Pump on 01 v6 santa fe

Sure sounds like its low of fluid or the filter is very dirty! My guess is that it works well driving straight open road. Most often the filter is inside the pump. Frankster016

SOURCE: need instructions on removing hyundai santa fe 01 fan belt ac

its your serpentine belt (thats what its called) and you will need a 3/8 ratchet and then find the belt tensioner. The tensioner has a spot where you need to put the ratchet into and pull or push depending on whatever way and that will releive the pressure off the belt so you can take it off.

SOURCE: 2002 Santa Fe Power Steering leak

Good Day
How much are you adding every 2-3 days? The fluid has to be going some were, to me it sounds like your rack and pinion is gone. I would take your vehicle into a mechanic some were that you trust and have it check out. Having it up on the hoist will be easy to fine the problem. Like I said it could be the rack or maybe there is a small hole in on of the lines. Now the price it could be from 200 - 600 depends on were you go to have it fix. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: The key wont turn in the ignition of my hyundai

hi from uk please try this ? with key removed try gently turning steerwheel to the right if you feel a slight spring in steering ? hold on the spring and insert key it should work and release lockand turn ign on ? if steering is springing on left ? try as above the same method not unusual for steer lock to prevent turning key as the steering even in straight position ? the necessity to gently release load on lock is req'd to allow key to turn/unlock the steering lock from the steering column practice doing the above each time you fit key to unlock steering and tuning ign on to start hope this helps

2003 santa fa wont start, the dash board lights are on and the radio is playing but the car won't turn over. The key turns in the ignition with no resistance, we had to disconnect the battery to save it.

That means the linkage rod fell off your key cylinder. (this happens whenever someone tries to steal your car) the push rod presses your ignition switch. If you know how to pull your steering wheel off, you can replace the key cylinder (if some of the casting is broken) by going to a junkyard. Get a cylinder with a key (you can make copies of the new key later) If the key cylinder was ok then just reattach the rod and put the steering wheel back on (being careful to keep the wheels facing forward before you remove the steering wheel so that you put it back the same way)

I cannot get any of my 3 keys to turn in ignition, In Park,I turned the steering wheel the wheels dont move. Now steering wheel is stuck at a tilt...It is not the battery.brake lights work, would it help to...

Try turning the key at the same time as turning the stearing wheel, you should only need to move it a lttle. I am not sure which direction you will need to turn the wheel so you must try both in turn. I think this is caused by the steering lock. I hope this helps.

Dash lights clicking on and off

Sounds like the old headlight switch short or bad contact. But on these newer cars,it could be anything from switch to wiring harness shorted to bad connection at switch (in steering wheel?),to some computer control.
Other Sante FE owners may be able to add some light on this. don-ohio

What is the best way to replace a fog lamp bulb on a 2008 Santa Fe?

1. Turn tires away from car
2. There is a plastic covering in front of the wheel that usually goes around the wheel well. There are plastic thumb pins on the outer edges of this plastic covering. Remove the thumb pins and this plastic piece will come off.
3. Behind this you will find access to your fog lights.
4. Then you can remove the fog light by twisting the plastic cover (if it has one) or by twisting the bulb

2004 Santa Fe Ignition switch locked

I just had this happen to me yesterday with my 2002 Santa Fe. After trying everything (jiggling steeling wheel, shaking the car, you name it we tried it). We got a chain and pulled the car ahead about 2 feet. That didn't seem to do anything but we then pulled up the emergency brake into the lock position and tried to start the car (with the ER brake on) and it worked!!! The steering wheel came unlocked and the car started up. Don't know if it was the pulling of the car that broke something free or if it was the ER brake, but that was what worked for me.
