SOURCE: Cruise control

Bad relay. They are to the right of the fuses (fuses inside the car). You can see the relays if you open the cover to the fuses (they are big blue cubes), but will need to remove a few screws to remove the panel to get to them. I can't remember which one it is, it might make a clicking noise when you try and turn on the cruise. Or you can swap "matching relays - compare diagram on top" and see what else stop working. I had to replace several, my dash when out, my cruise, and I think one is the fan that blows your ac and heat.

SOURCE: cruise control

Here's the situation, there was a factory recall on the cruise control module for Explorers and Expeditions during recent years and your vehicle may be included. This is very important because in some vehicles this faulty cruise control module sparked and caught on fire. Here's what you do, call the Ford dealer in your area(service) with the vin number to your vehicle, they will tell you if your vehicle was under this factory recall and if it is they will replace it for free. I would be very careful as you may have one of these faulty modules. Hope this helped.

SOURCE: fuse location for cruise control on a 2000 dodge caravan

The cruise has no dedicated fuse, you will most likely be looking to replace the clockspring rotating contact located under the steering wheel which connects the switches in the steering wheel (horn, cruise and air-bag) to the rest of the electrical system.

Find the cruse control fuse

A power surge can easily blow out the fuse of your cruise control mechanism. The cruise control fuse is normally found in the fuse panel located below the steering wheel. Remove the cover of the fuse panel and locate the fuse for the cruise control using the fuse diagram on the fuse panel.

Fuse location for cruise control

Since there is no throttle cable, there is no "cruise control" fuse. The fuses used are #7, 9,and 13 in the under hood fuse/relay box and #18 in the under dash fuse/relay box. The most common failure is a bad brake pedal switch. Does the cruise control main switch "on" light work when the switch is pressed? The gauge control module (instrument panel) and the PCM control the cruise control.

I have a 1994 mercury grand marquis. The cruise control stopped working today so I believe a fuse blew out. Can you tell me what is the number slot in the fuse box that is for cruise control? Thank you

Hi Debbie,

First I think it should be said that whatever is wrong with your cruise control it is definitely NOT caused by a fuse. Fuses do not cause electrical circuits to fail. Failing electrical circuits case fuses to blow.

With that said, there are 2 fuses that affect your cruise control operation:
Fuse #6 (10 Amp) and Fuse #7 (15 Amp), both of which are located in the instrument panel fuse block. Fuse #6 is the power feed to the cruise control servo and Fuse #7 is the brake lamp fuse, which provides power to let the cruise control servo know when you have applied the brake.

Where is the cruise control fuse in a 2004 chevy trailblazer?

Gotta tell you, this question had me a little confused. Below are 2 wiring diagrams for you. One is for the cruise control circuit and the other is for the air conditioning circuit. The reason I gave you those is because it seems according to the wiring diagram in the cruise control that the fuse for the cruise control goes to the HVAC (air conditioning). According to the wiring diagram for the A/C yes that fuse also controls the ignition power for the A/C controller. In any case the fuse that would cover the cruise control is the number 30 fuse in the fuse panel located under the hood of the vehicle. Below is a picture of the location of the fuse panel and also fuse layout diagrams for the 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder engine vehicles as they have different layouts depending on the engine size. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Where is the cruise control fuse on a 95 Plymouth van?

Under the fuse panel - look at the back of the fuse panel cover - there is usually a diagram to show each fuse. If not there, locate the fuse/relay panel under the hood - this should be on the drive side firewall. Lift out the cover and look at the back of it - the cruise control relay and/or fuse may be there.

Note: Cruise control is also operated partly by vacuum. So this may be the problem if your cruise is not working. Locate or purchase a repair manual for details, or ask an auto parts dealer representative for more information.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance with this matter.

The cruise control stopped working on my 2000 Jimmy I was on the road it was in use I stepped on the gas to pass a vechical and it stopped working. Dennis

If you have an automatic transmission and you apply your brakes, the cruise control will shut off. If you have a manual transmission and you apply your brakes or push the clutch pedal, the cruise control will shut off. Check the fuse: From Owners manual, page 6-60, shows where the fuse panel is located and where the "cruise" (#3) fuse is located. If you ever have a problem on the road and don?t have a spare fuse, you can borrow one that has the same amperage. Just pick some feature of your vehicle that you can get along without -- like the radio or cigarette lighter -- and use its fuse, if it is the correct amperage. Replace it as soon as you can. Instrument Panel Fuse Block The instrument panel fuse block is at the driver?s end of the instrument panel. Remove the cover by turning the fastener counterclockwise. Extra fuses and the fuse extractor are provided in the cover. To reinstall the fuse panel cover, push in and turn the fastener clockwise.
