Have you checked the battery after it died. I would check and see if the alternator is putting anything out. If its not, then i would look into the pink and brown ignition wire that runs the alternator and gauges and such. If any problems with this wire those very things happen. Hope this helps.

check the engine earth the gearbox earth and the battery connections...

Your oil is a little low, and the timing may be off a bit but if it smooths out after warm it is probably ljust
low oil.

i have 2 keys for my passat.with 1 key the engine runs perfect and with the other key the engine runs 2-3 seconds
