Will the same engine and trans. fit a different year?

I have a 95 Sonoma with 2.2L, 5spd, 2wd. I want to replace motor and trans. with 2.2L, 5spd, 2wd from a 2000 Sonoma. Is this a direct swap?

No, only a 1994-1995 engine will work.

The engine and the trans are, or should be the same physically, but to do the swap correctly, you'll need to swap the PCM and the BCM, and all other controllers to make it right.

I have 2 94 4runners. One is 2WD 3.0 a/t,bad motor, the other is 4wd 3.0 5spd, wrecked. I want to put motor, trans, axles, running gear, from 4wd to 2wd. Wondering @ wiring, clutch linkage, etc. thx.

If there is no frame damage to the wrecked truck you could just switch the body from the 2WD onto the 4x4, as long as the cab and bed sizes are the same. the frames on both versions are the same, the computers are not the same, the one for the automatic is different from the 5 speed. To me this way is a lot less work, your just switching bodies.

I want to change a 3.7 motor off of 2004 jeep Liberty 2wd in order to fit my 2002 jeep liberty 4wd?

engine swaps are complex as is mixing engines to wrong transmissions.
so both are 3.7L, is that it?
you never said what exacty didnt fit.
the flex plate to TC
or TC to A/T pump side mismatch.
????????
if its the flex then get the correct flex plate.
or call jeep parts? ask them for the right parts
the side of the trans has the trans part number
my guess is all you need is the correct flex plate for engine to TC.

Will a 95 jeep cherakee auto trans fit in 98 jeep cheokee

if your engine is AMC I6 high output version, it may wont fit without doing small modifications. if it is not high output version it will. transfer case differs model to model. np242 selectrac and np231command trac. they have little difference on 4wd systems. all have 2wd option.

actually it is supposed to have same transmission versions between 1988 to 2001. Aisin-Warner AW4.

I need to replace my engine in my 95 nissan altima and I want to know what's the latest model engine I can replace it with . Maybe a 2000 nissan altima engine

93-2001 are the same if your talking about the 2.4 liter dual cam motor. Some of the sensers are different as you might need to use the old ones but they'll fit right in. 02 changes to 2.5 and nothing works and the 6 won't fit either. If your manual trans yu need one that's for a manual as the crank is different but the manual engine will go in the automatic, ou'll need to use all the sensers from the old engine or new ones for the old engine as the different model years the computer is set differnt. ( some may work). Check the parts s guy if their the same for both you'll be fine. Don't froget to fix the reason the old motor failed ( bad raditor timing belt coolant senser, exhaust restriction) or your newer motor may fail too.

Help

Sorry, if it is an automatic (I assume it is) no matter what model trans it is, the 95 is electronic and requires a computer to shift.
