Start with the simple by replacing your fuel filter, but most likely it's going to be your fuel pump that will need to be replaced soon. It's common for the fuel pump on the Saturn's to go weak after a few years, the piston and the cylinder sleeves after a few years wear and the clearance is much grater when the pump heats up.
The extra clearance will cause the fuel pressure to drop just enough to keep the fuel injectors from working. Once the pump has cooled down enough for the piston and cylinder sleeves to create enough fuel pressure, your engine can run again.
You may get luck as mentioned to start with the simple and replace your fuel filter first, then the fuel pump if that did not help.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck

2003 Saturn L-Series L300 V6. I have a fuel leak coming from the top of the gas tank dripping down to the fuel filter line.

You probably will need to remove it. If there is rust on top of the tank, it may be perforated. See if you can get a cellphone camera up above it to take a picture. Also check under the seat for an inspection cover. Some people just cut an inspection hole.

I have a 2001 Saturn L300, when the engine gets hot but not overheating and I stop my car dies. takes about twenty minutes and will restart. I can go about ten blocks and it starts all over.

Check the electric fans and see if the are coming on. If not check fuses and relays. It goes as far as the ECM which controls the fans.

2003 saturn ion will not start somtimes

The security interlock on the ignition switch goes bad. The ignition switch needs replaced. (about $35 from the dealer) It takes about 30 minutes to replace and another 30 minutes to "learn" your key. The car locks out for 10 minutes when it fails so if you look in th emanual there is a procedure to override the lockout but it won't work for 10 minutes. Google the problem there are procedures for the switch replacement and learning the key with the new ignition switch.
