You have several 02 sensors. The code tells you which one. There in the exhaust system. If the code refers to the heater part then replace it. If its a lean or rich code then someone will need to diagnose this before replacing it.

You should have 5, O2 sensors on your Sirera. What are the DTC codes, each codes will indicate which O2 sensor needs to be addressed, or is this an answer with someone guess what the check engine light is saying.
Thye check engine light could be from a bad O2 sensor to just a bad or loose gas cap to a transmission issues.
Thank you for using fixya and note that Auto Zone and most larger auto parts store will scan DTC codes free of charge.

Engine p0446 . i replaced purge valve but light still coming on

There may be also a flow sensor in line with that valve, also check for split rubber hoses.
On mine, a dose of intake cleaner in the valve and sensor and a replaced split hose turned off the light.

Where is the knock sensor located on a 2005 gmc sierra 1500 4x4 5.3 L

Do not replace with Autozone knock sensors unless you feel like doing the job twice as I found out the hard way. I replaced mine and a week later the check engine light came back on. Went to the dealer and was told they have seen this problem many times before and to use oem replacement parts only. The two sensors and harness ran me about $230 from the dealer but no more engine light and no more sputtering. Hopefully I can return them to Autozone as soon as I find the receipts.

I have 2006 GMC Sierra SLE 4WD 5.3 liter and my engine light comes on giving me the code PO449 Evaporative Emission Control System Vent Valve/ Solenoid Circuit Malfuction. What could cause this code to...

There is a solenoid that open and closes with 12 volts, usually located close to the fuel filler tube area. This open to allow you to fill your tank, then closes after some inputs for the computer are satisfied, and then a pressure sensor verifies the system is working. First, make sure the cgas cap is tight, and if the light doesn't go away in a couple days of normal driving, get the solenoid checked.

My 2003 GMC Sierra idles rough and cut off sometimes when turning.Replaced fuel filter and changed plugs.engine light stays on.Which 02 sensors do i need to replace first? Before converter or after...

Before replacing the O2 sensors, I would check the fuel pressure. You may also try to have someone pull a trouble code from the powertrain control module to verify why the engine light is on. Do not replace any parts until this is done, otherwise your going to be guessing at the root cause, and it will get expensive with part replacement.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, GOT CODES P0157 2 TIMES,

the bank 2 sensor2 is used to check that your catylitic converter is working on that side of the exhaust. without seeing the car and doing sensor tests, it would be a gamble to say replace the sensor. so you can replace it and see what happens or take it to your favorite shop for further diagnosis
