Its the moisture, check your plugs and wires, cap and rotor, then check the resistance of the wires, then also check power wire going to the starter, check out your grounds too, ignition relays

Hi I have 2004 Mitsubishi pajero, run's great, bla bla, but after it has rained or is raining, there is a running water sound coming from my dash on the drivers side??? Annoying grrrrrr! Any got any info...

Get the seal on your windshield checked. Water could also be coming into the system which brings fresh air from outside into the heating/cooling system.

When is raining and i drive it on to the water it stops and dont start. even if starts it the engine doesnt run properly..the next day rain ..the engine work perfectly..

Change your distributor cap, rotor, and spark plug wires. This should be enough to prevent stalling in the rain.

When these components wear out, the problem is first noted when driving in the rain. If they are not changed, eventually the car will not start, even in good weather.

1994 3.0 Merc. Sable (153K miles). Intermittent no start (cranks, but won't turn over). When it does start, it sometimes runs rough until it warms up. The problem first started in the summer time a couple...

This could be fuel not reaching the injectors. Check for a clogged fuel filter or fuel lines. Dirty or clogged fuel injectors. Also difficulty starting after rain can be caused from old plug wires. I hope this helps.

Puddles after rain, overheating light comes on when starting out

If you have a sunroof, your drains might be clogged. Open the front doors and look for a rubber spout pointing down at a 45* angle. Milk it a littleand water might come out. I cut mine to open it up a bit so this wouldn"t happen again.

Red warning light?? With the car cold fill the coolant res. so the level is in between the min and max lines.

Battery in my 2006 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro is exposed to rain.....

I checked prices at a large parts store chain, and they had 3 battery choices for your car, 2 were $150, and a 3rd was $90. Was the $150 u mentioned for installation only? I'm wondering what they charged for the battery? I' m not familiar w/ the location of the battery in your car (some GM models are located under the rear seat!). Any rain entering the engine compartment (there shouldn't be much due to gaskets/weather stripping around the hood), would not harm the battery. Actually, heat is an enemy of the battery, and it's plenty hot under the hood, so in theory, any rain that did enter and contact the battery would be good, as it would have a cooling affect. Eliminating the cover may have been done as a way to dissipate heat. Let me know where the battery is located, as it may be someplace unique, but if it's under hood like most cars, rain is not an issue. I do want to know what the total cost of the battery was, and if I understand correctly that $150 was for installation, not the cost of the battery.

Weather related electrical problems

I had this problem with mine. Do not ever use a automated car wash on your ALERO----it destroys the seal around the window. Then, when you drive in rain, water leaks into the fuse box, shorting it out. I had to replace the fuse box ($500). Hope this helps.
