Poor the transmission fluid directly into the dipstick tube slowly to avoid over filling. Check the fluid as you pour it in little by little so you don't over fill it.

I want to add transmission fluid to my 1999 Pntiac Grand AM it does not have a dip stick

I would ask why you want to add fluid? Are you seeing fluid leakage under the vehicle or is it just driving differently all of a sudden? These transmission are designed to have a transmission service done that drops a percentage of the total amount of fluid out, and allows for filter replacement at the same time. Unfortunately, the filling procedure is a little tricky because it involves removing the vent/fill cap from the top of the transmission and then removing the fluid level check plug under the transmission just above where the pan bolts on on the passenger side of the vehicle. Fill up and until fluid comes out the check hole. Not an easy process, but that's it in a nut shell. I would also recommend doing an image search for the diagram if you plan on doing this yourself.

How do i fill my transmission?

There is a fill plug on the side of the transmission, towards the driver's side fender. You have to have the car on ramps, engine running and begin filling. When you start dribbling fluid back out at you, then you are topped off. Recommend having someone start the car while you are ready to begin filling (but not under the car for safety's sake), that way you are not running the engine for too long without the tranny having fluid in it.

Have a 2006 Honda Accord auto. What is the difference between and transmission flush or just topping it with fluid. What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Flush is a total fluid exchange. Topping off is filling the unit when level has become low. Total exchange involves equipment to replenish all fluid. A drain and refill will not get all of the fluid exchanged due to a couple quarts are in the torque converter.

Where do I add the transmission fluid on a 2004 bmw 545i and how many liters will it take to fill.

The fill drain plug I believe is on the left side of the transmission about 1in above where the oil pan bolts on. I think it is a 7mm allen bolt.If you are topping off the fluid make sure to check the fluid level at the fill hole while the engine temp is still cold. It should trickle out while the engine is in park and running. Make sure to tighten to spec and use approved oil. There should be a label on the transmission pan itself listing the part number for the fluid to use.
