SOURCE: Mustang GT 4.6 EVAP Canister Purge Valve Location?

You will need to remove the right front wheel & wheel well liner. The canister purge valve is behind the cover. It should have two tube going into the bottom and one on the side near the top.
You can fix it!

SOURCE: I have a purge valve or VMV fault code 1443 EVAP vaccuum system error

Without more information or testing its impossible to help diagnose this problem. However, when is the last time the oxygen sensor been replaced. My best guess in this situation and remember that this is not a easy item to replace as it is located within the exhaust system and is usually corroded.

BBEVAP? Yeah, I'm guessing you took it to autozone or something to have the codes ran. It has to do with pressure all around your car. The purge valve releases extra fumes in your car

SOURCE: getting an error code of PO449 for a check engine

You are right. You need the vent valve not the purge valve. The vent valve is a dealer item. Also this is a common problem and GM has released a bulletin on this that involves moving the location of the valve and running some new lines. It comes as a kit from GM, and it costs about a 100 bucks.

There is a canister purge valve & a volume control purge valve on your truck. The canister purge valve is on the evap. canister itself(at the rear of veh. near the fuel tank. The volume control purge valve is located in the eng. compartment, passenger side behind Battery. You didn't mention if it's a 4 or 6 cyl.

I have a 1997 Nissan Pickup XE L4 2.4 vin S 2389cc KA24E Fi MFI GAS SOHC got a code p0110 and also p1447 just replaced the MAP sensor and TPS Fuel filter and EVAP i checked w/ OBD came up w/ IAT ...

The IAT sensor is located in the air filter case on top of the throttle body. If you remove the air filter you can see it on the left side of the case on the bottom. It connects from underneath and the connector can easily be damaged if you are not careful when removing the lower part of the air filter housing from the throttle body. If you replaced the MAP sensor you may have damaged the connector or pulled a wire loose.

The p1447 problem indicates a leaky evap system which could be as simple as a bad gas cap or as in my case a bad evap canister and vacuum canister cut/bypass valve.(http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/fixurnissan/2012-02-04_230002_1.pdf)

If your evap canister has ruptured then your evap lines will be full of carbon pellets. You will need to disconnect each end (evap canister line towards front) and evap canister purge line towards the rear and blow out these lines with compressed air. Once they are clear replace the evap canister and check the vacuum canister cut/bypass valve as described in the link. If you fix this your self you will save close to $1000 as opposed to what a dealer would charge to fix this problem.

What does code p1447 mean ...???

The code says "evap purge flow monitor fault"
    Possible causes include ...
    - EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve stuck closed.
    - EVAP control system pressure sensor and its circuit.
    - Loose, disconnected, or improper connection of rubber tube.
    - Blocked rubber tube.
    - Blocked or bent rubber tube to MAP/BARO switch solenoid valve.
    - Cracked EVAP canister.
    - EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve.
    - Closed Throttle Position Switch.
    - Improper connection of one-way valve.
    - Blocked purge port.
    - EVAP canister vent control valve.

This is a "jackpot" code. It points to so many possible causes as to be almost useless.

P1444 Flujo de purga del circuito de entrada en q parte se encuentra localizada o localizado el senso r o valvula.nissan patfinder 98 motor 3.3

I don't know any Spanish but here is the codes definition.

P1444 - Purge Flow Sensor Circuit Low Input

The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve uses a ON/ OFF duty to control the flow rate of fuel vapor from the EVAP canister. The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is moved by ON/OFF pulses from the ECM. The longer the ON pulse, the greater the amount of fuel vapor that will flow through the valve.

    Causes:
  • EVAP control system pressure sensor
  • EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve (The valve is stuck open.)
  • EVAP canister vent control valve
  • EVAP canister
  • Hoses (Hoses are connected incorrectly or clogged.)

1996 Nissan Pickup Evap Purge Solenoid. This is what my mechanic said that I needed to get replaced. Where is this part exactly on the truck so that I can replace it myself.

    Hello,
The Evap Purge Solenoid sometimes can be found by following the hose from the canister but sometimes the line runs into a block of line which make it difficult to follow. Here is a site which provides diagnostic help with pictures. The also have the parts available for purchase at a very low price along with many more hard to find emission related parts. www.qualityresale.net
