Question about 1996 Volkswagen Jetta
I have a 1996 vw Polo classic 1.8i that often has quite a delay (can be 3-4 secs) between turning the ignition key to the start position and the starter motor actually kicking in. Sometimes switching on the ignition and then waiting 5 secs before trying to start seems to improve the situation. This seems to imply that something is slow to enable the engine start after the ignition comes on.
Check for loose starter wire at starter motor large one from batt to post 13 mm socket should do it
