Double check the battery cable and make sure they are clean and securely tightened. If they check out ok, tap the starter body with a hammer while someone else tries to start the engine at the same time. Be sure to avoid the positive connection on the starter, safety first. **Please rate me on this answer

2007 pontiac g5 gt just had ignition replaced due to recall now 48 hours later it wont start. . battery fully charged

ignition replaced ???? Ignition switch , the electrical part or key lock cylinder and key ? left switch on 10 minutes ???? That won't work on your vehicle ! Light's lit on insturment cluster ? Car with padlock symbol ,check engine ,service engine soon etc.... The starting system on your vehicle is computer controlled as many fuctions are ! The ignition switch is a low voltage input to the BCM - body control module . Your best bet , take it back to the dealer .

Most cars do this including the head lights , so the starter and ignition have less drain while starting. not sure if your model does this, If every thing is ok after starting nothing to worry about. If it wont start clean the battery terminals and check charging rate and battery.

Battery not charging and alternator works fine

2 things. First check that the alternator is operating at 14.7 volts. Then check with everything turned on to see if it drops. Might not be big enough for everything running.
Second measure between battery positive terminal and alternator output to see if different. Might have bad connection or wire in the system.

Sounds like battery and battery cables full of resistance and battery may need replacement or charging.

Instrument panel went dead

Checked Every fuse in the fuse box (no small task). This includes #4 - Power point Instrument Panel, #14 - Day time running lamps (auto lamps doesn't work nor does auto lock), #27 - ignition switch run feed, #35 - Instrument Cluster, #41 - Instrument Cluster, #42 - Delayed Accessory, #45 - Ignition switch run/start feed, #102 - Door locks body security module, #103 - Ignition switch, #110 - Ignition switch, & #116 - Ignition switch. But I also check all other ones as well, they all register OK. AC panel & radio work. Turn signals work. Mileage does not work, trip computer does. So, basically, everything works except auto head-lights, auto locks, and the dash cluster (no MPH, RPM, mileage display, Fuel, Temp, Tran Temp, and Oil Pressure).

How do I replace ignition switch?

turn off radio.first so you wont lose code.then disconnect negative battery.you also want to disable air bags. because you going to have to remove center instrument panel trim bezel.and the instrument cluster.remove 2 screws securing the ignition switch.then push switch in straight back to clear the mounting bracket.lift it out from behind the instrument panel.disconnect the ignition switch electrical connectors.and the ignition interlock cable.using the key turn the lock cylinder to run and press in the pin to release the cylinder.then with draw the cylinder with key.the cylinder must be removed even if only the switch portion is to be replaced.in order to remove the 2 wires connector.WARNING WAIT 20 MINUTES.AFTER DISCONNECTING BATTERY.TO WORK ON INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GIVE AIR BAGS TIME TO DISCHARGED ABOUT 20 MINUTES..IF YOU REPLACE IGNITION SWITCH AT HOME CAR MAY NOT CRANK.BECAUSE.YOUR NEW KEYS HAS TO BE PROGRAM TO CAR .BEFORE IT CRANK OR THE THEFT DETERRANT AND PCM. WILL NOT RECOGNIZE IT.NOT LET IT CRANK.
