My 2004 BA Ford Futura draws 0.12amps when its turned off, when its meant to be 0.01. Also stalls when driving, idles roughly, has huge loss in power and has a very high fuel cosumption.

Have you checked for engine trouble codes? How is your catalytic converter? If failed or plugged up, it might cause the problems.
Look in the fuse box or the power distribution box for an Ignition Off Draw, IOD, fuse. This is the circuit that should draw only the 0.01 amp. I wonder if you pulled that fuse, then checked for any remaining draw of amperage? Not sure if that is significant-...0,120, isn't that 120 milliamps? That's not much, even with an aftermarket amplifier and security system installed.
I recall an expert claiming if you stayed under 150 milliamps on the IOD, you were OK.
Of course if you were to try this, scan the computer for trouble codes first, memory will be lost, along with your radio pre-sets, your clock...your engine computer may have to go through a bit of relearning process...same as if you had the battery disconnected for any ,length of time.
The problems you are having, is it a sudden occurrence, or has it been building up for awhile? Think I would want a compression test, and check everything mechanical first, if no codes were found that jump-started you to the problem. Good luck, Ryan.

High fuel cosumption

Bad fuel economy is related to certain problems that you can repair. The air filter is the first thing.then you should perform a regular tune up.Spark plugs wires cap and rotor then you should replace you two 02 sensors. This will increase your fuel economy allot.Another item is your mass air flow sensor located on the throttle body. This tells the computer how much fuel to inject into your motor.

I have Toyota corolla axio 2007 model 1.5 l car. The fuel cosumption seems to be very low and it is about 8.5 km /l. What should I do. Sujith

Clean the mass air flow sensor located just after the air filter...There are special cleaners but I think a home drycleaner should help but delicately applied ..I used a feather initially..Also some carburetoor cleaner and new spark plugs should help double that value of km/l

Your mileage is just a little short of expected for this time of year. Winter driving does make mileage drop a bit. But your model should get closer to 24mpg in warmer weather. Tune ups and maintanance are the keys. Driving habits also make a huge difference. My Wife gets less mpg than I do. But I drive truck and am never in a hurry. I would just make sure all filters and fluids are new and good condition. Tire condition and alignment also play a large roll on MPG's. I hope this helps and have a great day.

High fuel cosumption

the greatest thing you can do is to give it a full tune up. that consists of new plugs and wires. cap and rotor. air filter as well then change the oil and filter in both the engine and trans mission, make sure your tires are properly inflated as well. these changes should help the performance of the car. if you still feel that the milage is poor than i would suggest that you have the carburator adjusted and check the timing to insure that it's where it should be. hope this helps ....please rate this
