1993 sidekick blowing fuses.

I have a 1993 Suzuki Sidekick. The 25 amp fuse in the lowwer left hand corner when you are looking at the fuse panel under the dash keeps blowing when the key is turned to on. I disconnected the fuel relay switch and it stops blowing. I lowered the fuel tank and disconnected the pump from the electrical connection and it blows the fuse anyway. Can you help?

The fused device drawing too much power because it's faulty.
A wire short circuiting to ground.
The fuse for fuel pump is in the fuse pannel below the dash on the drivers side . The pannel has a cover on it that has a guide telling what fuse protects what circuit . The electronic fuel injection system is coded as FI a 15 amp (blue ) fuse . If the fuel pump relay is the problem, be aware that it's highly probable that the ECM (brain, or computer) probably grounds the coil of the relay, and the coil is probably powered by an ignition on circuit. In a great number of cases the "power" that runs the fuel pump comes from the battery or a bus circuit that may or may not be switched. You need an accurate wiring diagram so you can determine what's supposed to happen, and when, and controlled/switched by what. The wiring is as follows:-- the positive lead from the fule pump leads to the relay and from the relay on the wiring diagram the wire BLU/BLK leads TO Heated Oxygen Senor 1, Heated Oxygen Senor 2 ,Evap canister vent solenoid , Evap tank pressure control solenoid valve , Evap canister purge valve ,Exhaust gas recirulation valve , idle air control valve . Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

I've seen where the relay switch causes electrical problem. I would replace it if it hasn't already been.

The relay switch has been replaced. What else is on the circuit? I also tried a new ignition coil and still got the same issue.

When we by pass the relay the car runs but not through the relay. 1993 suzuki sidekick. There is some electrical problem some where?

Yes. Also have them check the wiring that goes to the fuse box, right at the connections. I had that problem with my first Samurai.

Will crank up and then blow a fuse in the fuse panel and cut off immediately

you most likely have a short in wires somewhere. That was happening with my '89 sidekick and eventually burnt up the computer. My short was found to be the emission wires were fusing together

I need to replace fuses so i would need the fuse map to do so

louiseme: your fuse box is on the driver's side of the car under the dash. Usually there is a cover to show what circuits go where.
However, if you do not have a cover I will do my best to orient you to the box and what fuses serve what circuits.
Your box is made up of two rows of fuses , 7 on each side.
In looking at it you will see the left row will have three 15 amp, one 25 amp, one 20 amp and 0ne 15 amp fuse.
The right side will have: five 15 amp and two 20 amp fuses.
On the right side the top 15 amp fuse is the left head light, next 15 amp fuse below it is the right head lamp. The 15 amp fuse below it is for the tail lamps and dome lamps. 15 amp below that is stop lights and horn. 15 below is hazard, 20 is door locks , 20 radio and cigar
On the left, top 15 amp is ign coil and meters, 15 below is turn signals and back ups, 15 below is wiper washer, 15 below rear defog, 25 amp below heater, 20 amp below AWAL, 15 amp below is FI. Beyond this I need more specifics about your problem to help you

I have 1993 Suzuki Sidekick 4Drs 1.6L. Recently I replaced a new battery but my door locks and radio do not work. What could be the problem? and how to solve? Please aadvice Thanks Raj NY

Did the locks and radio work before you replaced the battery? If they did ,it is possible to have blown the fuse that operates these items. Check all the fuses with a test light. Place the test light on both sides of the fuse to make sure it lights on both ends ,if you find one that lights on one side but not the other, have it replaced and recheck the operation of the locks and radio. Hope this helps. Moe
