Question about 1998 Oldsmobile 88
These motors have bad intake gaskets, replace them. The 3800 engine is otherwise a good engine

If it is the head gasket you should have steam or fumes coming out of the water jug as sone as you start the car. Check your fuel pressure regulator by removing the hose off of it. Does gas come out of the hose or regulator? if so replace the regulator. Hope this helps leave comment.
