It is possible that a hose from a similar vehicle may work equally as well as long as it is long enough to fit from a to B. I assume you tried a dealer, or a junkyard?

which cooling system are you talking about? the engine cooling system? or the air conditioning cooling system?

The Low pressure is located near the firwall by the heater side. YOU can remove the plastic cover which covers the battery wires so you can see it better Is a little difficult to see it, but is there. Passenger side of the vehicle looking from front to back

On my 2000 expedition it is located on top of the compressor. The compressor is barrel shapped and silver and has a belt attached to it. There are 2 ports on the air compressor, one low and one high. When charging your air conditioner the gauge will only attach to the low pressure.

Need to know what the evap hose looks like

A/C systems have two hoses, a smaller diameter one for high pressure and a larger diameter one for low pressure. High pressure freon is compressed in the compressor and and pumped under pressure in the smaller hose to the evaporator where the freon is expanded/evaporated and becomes cooler via the expansion process. Here the freon absorbs heat. The larger hose then carries the expanded/evaporated freon to the radiator where it is cooled, then on to the compressor.

2001 town and country 3.8 will not heat

Start the engine and drive it for 10 to 20 minutes. Stop, leave the engine running, open the hood. Feel the upper hose and the lower hose. Are they both cool? What does the temp gauge show? If both hoses are cool and the temp gauge is low than the t-stat is most likely stuck open.

Coolant leak

get a cooling system pressure test kit. Just attach the radiator cap that is in the kit, attach the hose and pressure up on the entire cooling system. The kit should have directions as to how much pressure to use.

Heater on and working - temperature gauge normal. Heater starts to blow cold and temperature gauge goes to full hot and overheated coolant light comes on. Coolant overflow tank full and upper/lower...

one of two things could be happening... either the radiator is low on coolant or your thermostat is stuck (which if it is stuck you will have to replace) . But first let engine cool down, you need to check coolant level, squeeze one of the radiator hoses even if engine is cooled down to make sure there is little or no pressure in cooling system then remove radiator cap/coolant bottle cap to check level.by the way if it is low you will need to figure out why.. the obvious reason is a leak you may have to go to a shop and have system pressure tested to locate leak to repair.. good luck to ya.. hope this helps

Air cond not cool

yes if they had to (clean) the orfice that means that your compressor is coming apart. you sould replace to com dryer and orfice flush the system very well and then pull a vacuum and recharge. if the orfice was blck and had little bits of metal on it that means your com is taking a dump and it cant compress the fluid well enough so low cooling is the outcome.

Need air cindition recharge, don't have cash to take it someplace, can you help with instructions to do this

YOU NEED A R-134 GAUGE SET TO CHECK LOW PRESSURE SIDE AND HIGH PRESSURE SIDE.YOU ALSO CAN BUY A LITTLE CHEAPER GAUGE TO CHECK YOUR AC LOW BLUE SIDE AND HIGH RED SIDE AT ANY AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCE AUTO PARTS.WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOU GET YOUR GAUGE SET HOOK GAUGE TO LOW PRESSURE SIDE BLUE CAP PORT AND GAUGE TO HIGH SIDE PRESSURE RED CAP PORT.YOU CRANK CAR UP GET IT OPERATING TEMPERATURE.THEN TURN AC ON HIGH COOL LET RUN 3 TO 4 MINUTES.CHECK LOW SIDE GAUGE READING SHOULD BE 28 - 32 PSI. HIGH PRESSURE SIDE GAUGE SHOULD 199 - 228 PSI. THATS NORMAL CHARGE. SEE YOU CANT JUST RECHARGE AC SYSTEM UNTIL YOU CHECK IT FIRST YOU WILL DAMAGE SYSTEM .NOW YOU CAN GO TO AUTO ZONE PARTS BUY A CHARGE CAN WITH GAUGE AND HOSE.ATTACH TO IT.YOU NEED MORE THAN ONE CAN.WARNING MAKE COMPRESSOR IS RUNNING WHEN YOU TURN ON AC .BECAUSE IF COMPRESSOR NOT RUNNING CHECK FUSE AND AC COMPRESSOR RELAY.IF BOTH OKAY.YOU COULD HAVE OPEN CLUTCH COIL A FAULTY LOW PRESSURE SWITCH WILL CAUSE AC NOT TO WORK. IF LOW PRESSURE GAUGE BLUE SIDE PRESSURE IS 28 OR 30 YOU DONT NEED A CHARGE.PROBLEM SOME WHERE ELSE.BE SURE TO WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN WORKING ON AC SYSTEM.

2002 Saturn not cooling

well you cant just put refrigerant into a system. 1st you had a broken line . so the compressor probally pumped all its oil out and you lost the gas. 2 after such an incident you have to have the system evacuated to remove all the air out of the lines and system. if there is any air or moisture in there it will not run right due to freezing and without oil in there you will destry your pump . i suggest that you take it to a garage and get it evacuated be fore you proceed. then you can refill it. also on your vechile it should tell you how much goes in there like 1lb 6oz and there is an amount written on the can so go by that. putting more in there will do more harm then good and cause alot of headaches and sweating. good luck have a good day
